Kepala ruangan pada unit rawat map rumah sakit adalah pemimpin pelayanan keperawatan pada lini pertama, bertanggung jawab atas keberhasilan pelayanan keperawatan berdasarkan standar dan etika profesi untuk mencapai tujuan organisasi.
Keberhasilan tersebut sangat tergantung dengan kemampuan kepala ruangan memotivasi perawat pelaksana untuk bersama-sama mencapai tujuan organisasi yang telah ditetapkan. Berdasarkan hal tersebut peneliti tertarik melakukan penelitian mengenai analisis hubungan antara kompetensi kepemimpinan kepala ruangan yang dipersepsikan oleh perawat pelaksana dengan motivasi kerja perawat pelaksana di RSU Kabupaten Belitung. Tujuannya adalah untuk mengetahui adakah hubungan antara karakteristik kepemimpinan kepala ruangan dengan motivasi kerja perawat pelaksana.
Penelitian dilakukan di 7 ruang rawat inap, UGD, dan OK Rumah Sakit Umum Kabupaten Selitung, terhadap 68 orang perawat pelaksana sebagai responden. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif, dengan desain deskriptif korelasi yang bersifat cross sectional, dengan tujuan mengetahui hubungan antara variabel kompetensi kepemimpinan kepala ruangan dengan variabel motivasi kerja perawat pelaksana. Dilakukan analisis univariat, bivariat dengan uji Pearson korelasi dan uji t, dan analisis multivariat dengan uji regresi linier ganda.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan nilai motivasi kerja perawat perlaksana rata-rata 2,98. Terdapat hubungan yang bermakana antara kompetensi kepemimpinan kepala ruangan {kemampuan mengenai diri sendiri, kemampuan berkomunikasi, kemampuan memiliki energi, kemampuan menyusun tujuan, dan kemampuan melaksanakan tindakan) dengan motivasi kerja perawat pelaksana.
Dari hasil multivariat dengan uji regresi liner ganda diketahui dua variabel independen yang berhubungan bermakna dengan motivasi kerja perawat pelaksana, yaitu variabel kemampuan kepala ruangan berkomunikasi dan variabel kemampuan kepala ruangan melaksanakan tindakan. Variabel yang paling berpengaruh adalah variabel kemampuan melaksanakan tindakan.
Disarankan kepada direktur untuk mempertahankan dan meningkatkan kompetensi kepemimpinan kepala ruangan dan motivasi kerja perawat pelaksana melalui perbaikan beberapa sistem antara lain sistem rekrutmen, sistem reward, sistem penilaian, sistem peningkatan karir, juga sistem penggajian dan insentif perawat.

Analysis of Correlation between the Leadership Competencies of Head Nurse that is Perceived by Staff Nurse and this Working Motivation at Public Hospital Kabupaten BelitungHead nurses as leader in the first level of nursing services, in the ward have responsibility for achieving good nursing services in accordance to the profession standards and ethics to obtain the gaols of organization. Based on the statement above the researcher would like to explore the analysis of correlation between the leadership competencies of head nurses which was perceived by staff nurses and their working motivation at Public Hospital Kabupaten Belitung. The purpose was to explore the correlation between the leadership characteristics of head nurses and working motivation of staff nurse.The research was conducted in 7 general wards, emergency department, and theatre room in Public Hospital Kabupaten Belitung, on 68 staff nurses as respondents. The research used a quantitative method specifically correlation description with cross sectional design. The purpose of the research is to seek univariate, bivariate with correlation Pearson's and West analysis, and multivariate analysis with double linear regression test are done in this research where applied to analysis the data obtainedThe results showed that the average of the staff nurses' motivation was 2,98.
