Ship Building Plant (SBP) 50.000 DWT adalah merupakan bagian dari Divisi Kapal Niaga, yaitu fasilitas dock tempat pembuatan Kapal, khususnya untuk jenis Kapal Niaga atau Kapal Cargo, yang dilengkapi dengan fasilitas kerja seperti : Fabrication Shop, Sub-Assembly & Assembly Shop, Erection Shop, Pipe Shop dan Machinery Shop.Dalam menghadapi era globalisasi menuntut dunia industri untuk menciptakan keunggulan bersaing, dimana salah satu faktor agar dapat mampu bersaing yang cenderung dapat kita kendalikan adalah faktor internal dan perusahaan itu sendiri yaitu yang menyangkut masalah performansi dan input sumber daya yang digunakan, dan performansi dad output atau produk yang dihasilkan_ Untuk dapat melakukan pengendalian faktor-faktor tersebut diperlukan suatu parameter yang dapat digunakan untuk menilai dan mengevaluasi performansi produksi dimana dalam penelitian ini digunakan metode Multi Factor Productivity Measurement Model dan mengotimalkan metode pengendalian manajemen dalam produksi kapal yaitu Performance Chart dan Efek Diagram Pareto dari unsur sumber daya yang digunakan.Hasil analisa performansi produksi yang diperoleh adalah sebagai berikut :- Terdapat unsur-unsur biaya produksi yang penggunaan biayanya cenderung terus meningkat, khsusnya untuk input tenaga kerja tak langsung dan perawatan mesin- Periode 1 dan 2 tahun 1997 produktivitas perusahaan rendah, sebesar 0.75 % dan 0.82%, sedang produktivitas periode 3 dan 4, 1998 meningkat menjadi 1.23 dan 1,45.- Perusahaan kehilangan peluang untuk mendapatkan keuntungan sebesar + Rp 28,000,000,000,- karena adanya kenaikan harga material dan ongkos kerja.- Performance Chart menunjukkan adanya deviasi penyelesaian proyek sebesar 20 s/d 38% antara rencana dan realisasi.- Diagram Pareto untuk mendeteksi unsur sumber daya yang perlu mendapat perhatian dari manajemen , sebagai gambaran 13 % dari total material yang digunakan, biaya yang telah diserap sebesar 58.5% dari total biaya periode 1.

Ship Building Plant (SBP) 50.000 DWT is fasility of Merchant Ship Division of PT PAL which consist of Grafing Dock with Capacity up to 50.000 DWT and supporting work shop i.e Fabrication Shop, Sub Assembly-Assembly Shop,Erection Shop, Pipe Shop and Machinery Shop.

To face the globalisation era, the industry is challenge to improve their competitiveness. The competitive factor that can be controllable is the internal factor in the company, which is the performance from usage of resources input and performance of output or product result. To control those factor we need the parameter that can use to evaluate production performance, where in this study we use MFPMM method (Multi Factor Productivity Measurement Model) and optimalization of control management method in ship production that is Performance Chart and Pareto Diagram Effect from element of resource that used.

Result of production performance analysis outcome as follow :

- Found that element of production cost which in use, tend to grow, especially for input from indirect labour and maintenance of machine.

- In period 1 and 2 in 1997, the productivity in company is low as 0.75 and 0.82, where the productivity in periode 3 and 4 in 1998 is grow and become 1.23 and 1.45.

- The company lost the change to get profit as amount of Rp 28 millions, because of increase of material price and labour cost.

- The performance Chart show that the deviation of project complete as 20 to 38 % between planning and realization.

- Effect Pareto Diagram tb detect elemens of resourse that need attention from management For example, 13 % of the total material that has been used, the cost that absorbedis 58.5 % from total cost of period 1.
