ABSTRAKSitus Garisul - Jasinga terletak di sebelah Utara Kecamatan Jasinga Kabupaten Bogor memiliki bentuk-bentuk nisan yang menarik. Nisan-nisan tersebut tersebar di Lima Komplek makam antara lain :
a. Komplek makam di bukit kampung Garisul,
b. Komplek makam di bawah bukit kampung Garisul,
c. Komplek makam di bukit pinggir jalan raya kampung Garisul,
d. Komplek makam di bukit pinggir jalan raya kampung Parungsari dan,
e. Komplek makam di bukit kampung Parungsari.
Oleh Uka Tjandrasasmita diuraikan bahwa bentuk-bentuk nisan tersebut menunjukkan kubur laki-laki dengan delapan sisi (oktagonal) berangka tahun 1200 H = 1822 M dan kubur wanita mempunyai ukiran-ukiran saja, tetapi hingga saat ini secara tegas belum dapat diuraikan keseluruhan bentuk-bentuk nisan tersebut.
Penelitian yang dilakukan oleh penulis saat ini berbeda dengan penelitian yang pernah diteliti sebelumnya. Penelitian ini mencakup keseluruhan bentuk-bentuk nisan di lima komplek makam tersebut diatas, selain itu diperbandingkan dengan bentuk-bentuk nisan di situs Banten Lama dan di daerah-daerah lainnya.
Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa situs Garisul - Jasinga banyak memiliki kesamaan bentuk pada nisannisan di situs Banten Lama yang diklasifikasikan dengan tipe Aceh dan tipe Demak - Troloyo, baik bentuk Silindrik maupun bentuk pipih. Disamping itu pula diuraikan aspek sejarahnya sesuai yang terpahat pada nisan-nisan tersebut yaitu abed 19, salah satu keunikan dari nisan-nisan itu memuat inskripsi Arab dengan gaya kaligrafi Naskhi dan kufi, berbahasa Jawa yang berada di lingkungan orang-orang berbahasa Sunda. Hasil penelitian tentang Hubungan antara Gerakan-gerakan masyarakat Muslim Banten dengan situs Garisul - Jasinga Kabupaten Bogor : Kajian tipologi nisan dapat memberikan khazanah ilmu Kepurbakalaan Islam di Indonesia.
ABSTRACTGarisul-Jasinga Site is located in northern part of Bogor Regency, West Java, with interesting form of tomb-stones. The tombstones scattered in five grave complexes, namely:The complex in a hill of Garisul village;The complex in lower part of the hill in Garisul village;The complex in a hill beside the road of Garisul village;The complex in a hill beside the road of Parungsari village; andThe complex in a hill of Parungsari village.Oka Tjandrasasmita describes that the forms of concerned tombstones related with the gender where the graves of men characterized by octagonal forms while women graves by en-graved forms; but up to now, there has not been explained distinctly the complete forms of the whole tombstones found in these complexes.The study carried out by the writer is differ with those carried out previously. This study covers the whole forms of tombstones found in the five complexes mentioned above, and they are also compared with those found in Ban-ten Lama Site and other sites in different regions.Based on this study it could be concluded that the form of tombstones found in this Garisul-Jasinga Site has many similarities with those found in Banten Lama Site, which all are classified as Aceh and Demak-Troloyo types, which both are in cylindric and slab. In addition, there are also described historical aspects which were engraved on concerned tombstones dated in 19th century. One of the unique things, there found Arabic inscription on the tombstones with Naskhi and Kufi style of calligraphy, written in Javanese language while they are located in Sundanese area.The study on relationship between the movement of Moslem community in Banten with Garisul-Jasinga Site; and study on typology of tombstones could provide a valuable source for Islamic archaeology in Indonesia.
