Pengaruh peringkat dan kondisi operasi pada proses pencairan batubara

 Abstract

ABSTRAK
Proses pencairan batubara adalah konversi batubara menjadi bahan bakar cair, dengan cara menaikkan rasio hidrogen/karbon dalam batubara mendekati rasio hidrogen/ karbon dalam minyak bumi. Contoh batubara dipilih dari tiga daerah. yang dengan analisis, batubara ini dapat ditentukan peringkatnya yaitu : Banjarsari : lignit A, Banko : subbituminus B, dan Kal-Tian : bituminus C.
Percobaan dilakukan dalam otoklaf, dengan tekanan awal hidrogen 100 bar, minyak residu sebagai pelarut donor hidrogen dan katalis CoMo. Kondisi operasi proses divariasi pada temperatur (T) : 375 0-450 °C, waktu (t) : 30-75 menit, dan rasio batubara/pelarut (B/P) : 1/3, 1/2, 2/3, 1/1.
Hasil penelitian dari ketiga peringkat batubara menunjukkan kondisi operasi optimum dicapai pada T = 425 °C, t = 45 menit, dan rasio B/P = 2/3. Konversi produk maksimum pada kondisi tersebut di atas berturut-turut untuk lignit A : 83,96 %, subbituminus B : 80,04%, dan bituminus C : 77,55 %. Sedang konsumsi hidrogen untuk setiap batubara berturut-turut 4,66 %, 3,98 %, dan 3,63 %.

ABSTRACT
The Influence -Of Coal Rank And Operation Condition At Coal Liquefaction Process Liquefaction process of coal converts a coal to a liquid fuel by increasing the hydrogen/carbon ratio of coal similar in crude oil. Coal sampels are selected from three regions and by analysis, these coals are ranked as follow : Banjarsari as lignit A, Banko as subbituminus B, and Kal-Tim as bituminus C.
The experiment were carried out in an autoclave, with initial hydrogen pressure 100 bar, residue oil as solvent hydrogen donor and Coro catalyst. Operation condition process was varied at temperature (T) from 375 °C - 45G °C, time (t) from 30 - 75 minutes, and coal/solvent (B/P) ratio 1/3 , 1/2 , 2/3 , 1/1.
The results of the research from third of coals rank was showed at operation condition optimum was achieved at T : 425 °C, t : 45 minutes, and B/P ratio : 2/3. The maximum products conversion with the condition a bove respectively of lignit A : 83,96 %, subbituminus B 80,04 %, and bituminus C : 77,55 %. Meanwhile hydrogen consumtions of each coals are : 4,66 %, 3,98 %, and 3,63 %.
