How should education respond to globalization? Globalization is the process of change. Global culture means modernity stressing on rationality, The process of globalization is a network system integrating global livelihood in time-space compression. It is comprised of economic, politic and cultural globalization. The relationship between globalization and education can be seen with the establishment of the knowledge-based society.The element of modernity in the process of globalization needs to be adapted through education integrating local values. Therefore education should be adapted the global values especially in creating innovative and intelligent individuals in the knowledge-based society Indonesian society will be as competitive as other global society if they are veil trained and intelligently equipped with English and computer languages as required in the process of globalization.
