Pembangunan di Kota Depok terus berlangsung, sebagai daerah pinggiran Ibukota DKI Jakarta. Perkembangan pembangunan perekonomian daerah tergantung dari kondisi dan potensi sumberdaya yang dimiliki masing-masing daerah. Salah satu indikator ekonomi untuk mengukur kinerja pertumbuhan ekonomi suatu daerah adalah Produk Domestik Regional Bruto (PDRB). Dalam penelitian ini PDRB digunakan untuk melihat sektor basis dengan menggunakan analisis Location Quotient (LQ). Menurut perhitungan LQ per kecamatan di Kota Depok tahun 2012 dan tahun 2015 didapatkan hasil bahwa sektor basis pertanian terdapat di Kecamatan Bojong Sari, Limo, Sawangan, Tapos, Cipayung dan Pancoran Mas. Sektor basis industri pengolahan terdapat di Kecamatan Tapos, Cilodong dan Cimanggis. Sektor basis listrik, gas dan air bersih terdapat di Kecamatan Bojong Sari, Limo, Sawangan, Cinere, Cipayung, Pancoran Mas dan Sukmajaya. Sektor basis bangunan terdapat di Kecamatan Limo, Sawangan, Cilodong, Cimanggis dan Pancoran Mas. Sektor basis perdagangan, hotel dan restoran terdapat di Kecamatan Bojong Sari, Limo, Beji, Cinere, Cipayung, Pancoran Mas dan Sukmajaya. Sektor basis angkutan dan komunikasi terdapat di Kecamatan Bojong Sari, Limo, Sawangan, Cinere, Cipayung, Pancoran Mas dan Sukmajaya. Untuk sektor keuangan, jasa persewaan dan Perusahaan terdapat di Kecamatan Beji dan Sukmajaya. Sektor basis jasa-jasa terdapat di Kecamatan Limo, Beji, Cinere, Pancoran Mas dan Sukmajaya. Pada wilayah rural terjadi perubahan sektor nonbasis menjadi basis di Kecamatan Tapos yaitu pada sektor pertanian dan di Kecamatan Limo pada sektor bangunan, dan terjadi perubahan sektor basis menjadi nonbasis di Kecamatan Sawangan pada sektor perdagangan, hotel dan restoran dan di Kecamatan Tapos pada sektor listrik, gas dan air bersih, sektor perdagangan, hotel dan restoran serta sektor angkutan dan komunikasi. Pada wilayah urban terjadi perubahan sektor nonbasis menjadi sektor basis di Kecamatan Cilodong, yaitu sektor bangunan, di Kecamatan Cinere, yaitu sektor keuangana, jasa persewaan dan jasa perusahaan, dan di Kecamatan Pancoran Mas yaitu sektor bangunan dan sektor keuangan dan jasa perusahaan.
Development in Depok City continues, as a suburb of the Capital City of Jakarta. The development of regional economic development depends on the conditions and potential of the resources owned by each region. One economic indicator to measure the performance of economic growth in a region is the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP). In this study the GRDP is used to look at the base sector using Location Quotient (LQ) analysis. According to LQ calculations per sub-district in Depok City in 2012 and 2015 the results show that the agricultural base sector was found in Bojong Sari, Limo, Sawangan, Tapos, Cipayung and Pancoran Mas Sub-districts. The manufacturing sector base sector is located in Tapos, Cilodong and Cimanggis Sub- districts. Electricity, gas and clean water base sectors are found in Bojong Sari, Limo, Sawangan, Cinere, Cipayung, Pancoran Mas and Sukmajaya Sub-districts. Building base sectors are located in Limo, Sawangan, Cilodong, Cimanggis and Pancoran Mas Sub-districts. The trade, hotel and restaurant base sectors are located in Bojong Sari, Limo, Beji, Cinere, Cipayung, Pancoran Mas and Sukmajaya Sub-districts. Transportation and communication base sectors are found in Bojong Sari, Limo, Sawangan, Cinere, Cipayung, Pancoran Mas and Sukmajaya Sub-districts. For the financial sector, rental services and companies are found in Beji and Sukmajaya Districts. Service base sectors are located in Limo, Beji, Cinere, Pancoran Mas and Sukmajaya Sub-districts. In rural areas there is a change in the nonbasis sector to be a base in Tapos Sub-district, which are in the agriculture and In Limo Sub-district in the construction sector and changes from a base to a nonbasis in Tapos in electricity, gas and clean water sector and the trade, hotel and restaurant sector and in the transportation and communication sector also in Sawangan Sub-District in the tradem restaurant and hotel sector. In the urban area there was a change in the nonbasis sector to a base sector in Cilodong Sub-district, that is the building sector, in Cinere Sub-district, which is the financial sector, rental services and company services, and in Pancoran Mas Sub-district the building sector and the financial and corporate services sector.
