Le Monde, sebagai kanal berita Prancis yang bereputasi sebagai surat kabar acuan, beradaptasi di lingkungan digital dengan membuat kanal YouTube. Salah satu rubrik Le Monde di YouTube adalah Mappemonde, yang membahas isu-isu geopolitik kontemporer. Tiga video rubrik ini di antaranya adalah « Que fait la Chine en Afrique ? », « Que veut la Russie de Poutine ? », dan « Les États-Unis sont-ils toujours le gendarme du monde ? », yang masing-masing membahas Republik Rakyat Cina, Federasi Rusia, dan Amerika Serika, yang dilatarbelakangi adanya tatanan dunia baru dengan ketiga negara ini sebagai kutub-kutubnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan Analisis Wacana Kritis dengan Pendekatan Dialektis-Relasional Fairclough (2013) dan teori bingkai media D’Angelo (2017) untuk mendeteksi bingkai-bingkai yang digunakan Le Monde dalam rubrik Mappemonde. Ditemukan bahwa dua bingkai yang dominan digunakan adalah bingkai konflik dan bingkai konsekuensi ekonomi, yang menunjukkan bahwa penulis Mappemonde menggunakan paham realis dalam melihat hubungan internasional. Selain itu, ditemukan bahwa penulis Mappemonde memiliki sikap sinofobik, terutama dengan menekankan potensi RRC untuk mengubah status quo tatanan dunia.

Le Monde, as a French news channel with a reputation of being a point of reference, has adapted to a digital environment by creating a YouTube channel. One of Le Monde’s playlists on YouTube is Mappemonde, which discusses contemporary geopolitical issues. Among the videos in the playlist, three of them are « Que fait la Chine en Afrique ? », « Que veut la Russie de Poutine ? », and « Les États-Unis sont-ils toujours le gendarme gu monde ? ». These videos respectively discuss the People's Republic of China, the Russian Federation, and the United States, in the context of an emerging world order with the three countries as its poles. This study uses a critical discourse analysis with Fairclough’s Dialectical-Relational approach (2013) and D’Angelo’s theory of media frames to detect the frames used by Le Monde in the Mappemonde playlist. The two dominant frames in the playlisr are “conflict” and “economic consequences”, which show that the writer of Mappemonde subscribes to a realist understanding of international relations. Additionally, the writer of Mappemonde shows a sinophobic attitude, especially by emphasizing the potential of the PRC to disrupt the status quo of the world order.
