Menurut Badan Pusat Statistik, pada triwulan II tahun 2022, sektor konstruksi menyumbang 9,14 % terhadap Produk Domestik Bruto (PDB) yang mana berada di urutan kelima kontribusi konstruksi dalam perekonomian Indonesia (Badan Pusat Statistik, 2022. Data dari Sekretariat Komite Keselamatan Konstruksi juga menambahkan, sejak tahun 2018-2020 tercatat terjadi 30 kecelakaan konstruksi. Penerapan Sistem Manajemen Keselamatan Konstruksi (SMKK) merupakan bagian dari sistem manajemen pelaksanaan Pekerjaan Konstruksi dalam rangka menjamin terwujudnya Keselamatan Konstruksi. SMKK ini mengadopsi ISO 45001:2018 dengan beberapa penyesuaian, khususnya di sektor jasa konstruksi Indonesia pasca-terbitnya Undang-Undang No. 2 Tahun 2017 tentang Jasa Konstruksi. Proyek Warehouse ESR Cikarang Logistics Park 1 adalah salah satu proyek konstruksi pembangunan komplek pergudangan atau warehouse yang bertujuan untuk proses koordinasi penyaluran barang yang muncul sebagai akibat kurang seimbangnya proses supply (penawaran) dan demand (permintaan). Pada pelaksanannya Proyek Warehouse ESR Cikarang Logistics Park 1 memiliki potensi kerentanan pada penerapan SMKK. Metode yang digunakan adalah melalui pengamatan,  forum sharing knowledge dan dokumentasi untuk mendapatkan data primer, sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh melalui dokumen-dokumen yang ada pada proyek tersebut atau sumber referensi lainnya. Penilaian tingkat penerapan SMKK pada Proyek Warehouse ESR Cikarang logistics park 1 ini mengacu kepada kiteria penilaian penerapan SMKK yang terdapat pada Permen PUPR RI NO.10 tahun 2021 tentang Pedoman Sistem Manajemen Keselamatan Konstrusksi. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi penerapan SMKK pada 5 aspek penerapan SMKK menunjukkan 100% kesesuaian, hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa tingkat pencapaian penerapan SMKK termasuk pada tingkat penerapan yang memuaskan. Namun pada implementasinya masih ditemukan banyak hambatan dalam penerapan SMKK, contoh hambatan yang terjadi pada penerapan SMKK diantaranya adalah masih kurangnya kesadaran pekerja terhadap pentingnya kesalamatan konstruksi, kurangnya Personil dari kontraktor utama yang memiliki lisensi K3 serta kurangnya konsistensi Penerapan SMKK di Proyek ESR Cikarang Logistics Park 1.

The implementation of the Construction Safety Management System (SMKK) is part of the Construction Work implementation management system in order to ensure the realization of Construction Safety. The Cikarang Logistics Park 1 ESR Warehouse Project is one of the construction projects for the construction of a warehousing complex or warehouse that aims to the process of coordinating the distribution of goods that arises as a result of an imbalance in the supply and demand processes. In its implementation, the Cikarang Logistics Park 1 ESR Warehouse Project has potential vulnerabilities in the application of SMKK. The method used is through observation, knowledge sharing forums and documentation to obtain primary data, while secondary data is obtained through existing documents on the project or other reference sources. The assessment of the level of implementation of SMKK in the Cikarang logistics park 1 ESR Warehouse Project refers to the criteria for evaluating the implementation of SMKK contained in the Minister of PUPR RI NO.10 of 2021 concerning Guidelines for Construction Safety Management Systems. Based on the results of the evaluation of the implementation of SMKK in the 5 aspects of SMKK implementation showing 100% conformity, it can be concluded that the level of achievement of SMKK implementation is at a satisfactory level of implementation. However, in its implementation there are still many obstacles in implementing SMKK, examples of obstacles that occur in implementing SMKK include the lack of worker awareness of the importance of construction safety, the lack of personnel from main contractors who have K3 licenses and the lack of consistency in implementing SMKK in the ESR Cikarang Logistics Park 1 Project .
