Puskesmas sebagai unit yang bertanggungjawab terhadap kesehatan masyarakat perlu memberikan pelayanan yang maksimal terhadap masyarakat. Untuk memberikan pelayanan yang maksimal salah satunya adalah menjaga ketersediaan farmasi yang ada di Puskesmas. Analisis ABC adalah suatu analisis yang dapat digunakan dalam menganalisis pola konsumsi perbekalan farmasi, sedangkan analisis VEN (vital, essential, dan non-essential) adalah suatu sistem untuk menentukan seleksi, pengadaan, dan penggunaan perbekalan farmasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis ABC terhadap obat yang terdapat di Puskesmas Pasar Rebo, hasil yang dapat diketahui adalah kelompok pareto A memiliki jumlah investasi sebesar Rp. 503.625.772,- atau 69,96% dari total investasi dengan jumlah produk 21 item obat atau 14,19% dari total item obat. Kelompok pareto B memiliki jumlah investasi sebesar Rp. 146.844.183,- atau 20,40% dari total investasi dengan jumlah produk 30 item obat atau 20,27% dari total item obat. Kelompok pareto C memiliki jumlah investasi sebesar Rp. 69.398.334,- atau 9,64% dari total investasi dengan jumlah produk 97 item obat atau 65,54% dari total item obat. Pemilihan obat ke dalam kelompok vital, esensial dan non esensial mengacu pada DOEN, Formularium Nasional, dan Formularium Puskesmas, dilihat berdasarkan pertimbangan akan kebutuhan pelayanan kesehatan terhadap masyarakat dengan penyediaan obat-obat yang dibutuhkan untuk pasien dengan menimbang resiko yang mungkin terjadi apabila sampai terjadi kekosongan stok obat. Jumlah obat yang termasuk kategori gabungan AV sebanyak 0 jenis obat, AE sebanyak 16 jenis obat, AE sebanyak 5 jenis obat, total seluruhnya sebanyak 21 jenis obat. Gabungan BV sebanyak 3 jenis obat, BE sebanyak 21 jenis obat, BN sebanyak 6 jenis obat, total seluruhnya sebanyak 30 jenis obat. Gabungan CV sebanyak 24 jenis obat, CE sebanyak 68 jenis obat, dan CN sebanyak 5 jenis obat, total seluruhnya sebanyak 97 jenis obat.
