Candi merupakan sebuah bangunan masa lampau yang digunakan sebagai tempat ibadah dari agama Hindu-Budha. Dari seluruh candi yang telah ditemukan di Jawa Tengah, tidak semua candi berada dalam kondisi yang utuh seperti yang terlihat sekarang. Beberapa candi bahkan hampir tidak berbentuk atau terpecah menjadi bongkahan batuan yang tersebar di bawah permukaan area candi. Pemugaran candi dilakukan untuk mengembalikan tata letak candi dan bentuk asli dari candi tersebut untuk memperpanjang usianya. Dengan menganalisis serta melakukan pemrosesan data GPR diharapkan anomali yang ditemukan merupakan struktur ataupun objek dari Candi Sewu. Sehingga penelitian ini akan membantu dalam proses pemugaran Candi Sewu dalam mengkonstruksi kan kembali bentuk Candi Sewu seperti semula serta akan memperkaya bidang ilmu arkeologi. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bagian timur laut Candi Sewu dengan mengakuisisi data pada 5 lintasan. Pengumpulan data GPR menggunakan CBD Cobra yang memancarkan triple frekuensi yaitu 200 MHz, 400 MHz, dan 800 MHz, penentuan lintasan dilakukan berdasarkan penemuan pagar candi yang terlihat dibagian timur laut Candi Sewu. Pada daerah timur laut tersebut terdapat persebaran anomali terdapat adanya pagar candi disepanjang selatan hingga utara pada bagian Candi Sewu, serta terdapat anomali pendukung lain seperti logam pada bagian timur pagar Candi Sewu, arca pada bagian utara pagar Candi Sewu, logam arca pada barat laut pagar candi dan batuan candi pada utara dan timur pagar candi.

The temple is a past building that was used as a place of worship for the Hindu-Buddhist religion. Of all the temples that have been found in Central Java, not all of the temples are in intact condition as seen today. Some temples are almost shapeless or split into chunks of rock that are scattered beneath the surface of the temple area. The restoration of the temple is carried out to restore the layout of the temple and the original shape of the temple to extend its life. By analyzing and processing GPR data, it is hoped that the anomalies found are structures or objects from Sewu Temple. So that this research will assist in the restoration process of Sewu Temple in reconstructing the shape of Sewu Temple as before and will enrich the field of archeology. This research was conducted in the northeastern part of Sewu Temple by acquiring data on 5 tracks. The collection of GPR data uses CBD Cobra which emits triple frequencies, namely 200 MHz, 400 MHz, and 800 MHz, the determination of the trajectory is based on the discovery of the temple fence seen in the northeastern part of Sewu Temple. In the northeastern area there is a distribution of anomalies, there is a temple fence along the south to north part of the Sewu temple, and there are other supporting anomalies such as metal on the east side of the Sewu temple fence, statues on the north side of the Sewu temple fence, metal statues on the northwest of the temple fence and the temple rocks on the north and east of the temple fence.
