Kecamatan Cibinong mengalami pertumbuhan penduduk yang cukup pesat karena dilihat dari fungsi dan lokasinya yang menjadi titik pusat Kabupaten Bogor. Dengan peningkatan jumlah penduduk yang semakin meningkat tiap tahunnya, tentu saja meningkatkan permintaan terhadap kebutuhan masyarakat, termasuk kebutuhan pangan. Pada kecamatan ini masih terjadi keterbatasan sektor ekonomi formal yang menyebabkan tumbuhnya sektor ekonomi informal, salah satunya PKL makanan (Pedagang Makanan Kaki Lima/PMKL). Kegiatan usaha PMKL ini tersebar di Kecamatan Cibinong dengan berbagai site and situation pada setiap lokasi. Perbedaan inilah yang menjadi pemicu penelitian pada perbedaan karakteristik pedagang jika dilihat dari berbagai lokasi tertentu yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan usahanya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami pengaruh site and situation PMKL khususnya pada pedagang seblak, lumpia, bakso, siomay, batagor, dan ketoprak terhadap keberhasilan usaha pada tiga kawasan fungsional, yaitu kawasan permukiman, pendidikan, dan pariwisata. Pada penelitian ini site dapat dilihat pada karakteristik PMKL, berupa keragaman jenis makanan yang dijual, jenis sarana yang digunakan untuk berjualan, durasi atau waktu berjualan. Pada situation dapat dilihat dari karakteristik lokasinya berdasarkan aksesibilitas dan visibilitas. Selanjutnya keberhasilan usaha juga dilihat dari pendapatan dan jumlah pelanggan di setiap kawasan. Dengan begitu dapat dilihat keterkaitan antara site and situation pada keberhasilan usahanya. Maka dapat dilihat dari pengaruh site and situation ketiga kawasan fungsional tersebut yang memiliki tingkat keberhasilan usaha paling tinggi adalah kawasan permukiman. Oleh karena itu kawasan ini dapat dikatakan kawasan dengan nilai bisnis paling tinggi dibandingkan kawasan pendidikan dan pariwisata.

Cibinong Subdistrict is experiencing quite rapid population growth as seen from its function and location which is the center point of Bogor Regency. In this sub-district there are still limitations in the formal economic sector which has led to the growth of the informal economic sector, one of which is food street vendors. PMKL's business activities are spread across Cibinong District with various sites and situations at each location. This difference is what triggers research on the differences in the characteristics of traders when viewed from certain locations that affect the success of their business. The purpose of this study was to understand the influence of the PMKL site and situation, especially on seblak, lumpia, bakso, siomay, batagor, and ketoprak traders on business success in three functional areas, namely residential, educational, and tourism areas. In this study, the site can be seen in the characteristics of PMKL, in the form of the variety of types of food sold, the types of facilities used for selling, the duration or time of selling. The situation can be seen from the characteristics of the location based on accessibility and visibility. Furthermore, the success of the business is also seen from the income and the number of customers in each region. In this way, it can be seen the relationship between site and situation on the success of the business. So it can be seen from the influence of the site and situation that the three functional areas that have the highest level of business success are residential areas. Therefore, this area can be said to be an area with the highest business value compared to education and tourism areas.
