Obesitas sentral merupakan masalah kesehatan di Indonesia dan berdampak terhadap peningkatan penyakit degeneratif. Perubahan gaya hidup termasuk kurangnya aktifitas fisik meningkatkan risiko terjadinya obesitas sentral. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan aktifitas fisik rendah dan sedang terhadap kejadian obesitas sentral di Kelurahan Johar Baru, Kecamatan Johar Baru, Jakarta Pusat. Penelitian dilakukan dengan survey. Populasi penelitian adalah masyarakat berusia 20 ? 65 tahun di Kelurahan Johar Baru, Kecamatan Johar Baru, Jakata Pusat. Sampel penelitian adalah sebagian dari populasi sebanyak 221 responden. Analisis data menggunakan Chi Square dan Cox regression. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa prevalensi obesitas sentral sebesar 37,1% dan prevalensi aktifitas fisik rendah?sedang (total aktivitas fisik < 3000 METs) sebesar 59,7%. Aktivitas fisik rendah?sedang terbukti berhubungan dengan obesitas sentral. Setelah dikontrol variabel jenis kelamin, interaksi aktivitas fisik dan jenis kelamin, umur, tingkat pendidikan, intake kalori, pekerjaan, dan status merokok, aktivitas fisik rendah?sedang berisiko 8,58 kali (PR= 8,58; 95% CI 1,92 – 38,34) untuk terjadi obesitas sentral dibandingkan dengan orang dengan aktivitas fisik berat.
Abdominal obesity is a health issues in Indonesia and have the impact to increasing of degenerative diseases. Lifestyle change including physical inactivity could increase risk of abdominal obesity. This study was attempt to identify association of low?middle physical activity with abdominal obesity in Johar Baru Village, Sub Distric of Johar Baru, Central Jakarta. The study was conducted by cross sectional survey. Population of the study was settled in Johar Baru Village, Sub District of Johar Baru, Central Jakarta. The sample was part of population including of 221 respondents. The result of the study presents that the prevalence of abdominal obesity was 37.1% and prevalence of low and middle physical activity (total activity <3000 METs) was 59.7%. Low and middle physical activity is significantly associated to abdominal obesity. After gender variable is being controlled, the interaction between physical activity and gender, age, level of education, calories intake, work, and smoking indicate to low and middle physical activity by increasing risk of 8.58 fold (PR= 8,58; 95% CI 1.92 – 38.34) to become abdominal obesity compare to high physical activity.
