Nasogastric Tube atau disingkat NGT adalah selang khusus yang membawa makanan dan obat ke perut melalui nasofaring yang biasanya digunakan untuk pasien rawat inap yang tidak sadarkan diri atau memiliki kesulitan menelan. Terdapat banyak faktor yang perlu diperhatikan dalam pemilihan dan persiapan obat yang akan diberikan melalui NGT karena dapat berpotensi membahayakan pasien atau tenaga kesehatan yang bersangkutan. Laporan ini dibuat untuk menghasilkan Panduan Pemberian Obat Melalui NGT pada RSUPN Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo sebagai kegiatan Pemberian Informasi Obat (PIO) aktif oleh apoteker. Metode yang digunakan dalam laporan ini adalah dengan studi literatur melalui Formularium RSCM 2022 serta referensi penyiapan obat untuk NGT pada Handbook of Drug Administration Via Enteral Feeding Tubes Third Edition dan The NEWT Guidelines for administration of medication to patients with enteral feeding tubes or swallowing difficulties, NIOSH List of Antineoplastic and Other Hazardous Drugs in Healthcare Settings, dan Oral Dosage Forms That Should Not Be Crushed. Kesimpulan laporan ini adalah bahwa pembuatan Panduan Pemberian Obat Melalui NGT dilakukan dengan beberapa tahap yaitu mencari referensi pemberian obat melalui NGT, memilah daftar obat oral Formularium RSCM, mempelajari informasi sediaan, dan menyusun panduan.

Nasogastric Tube or abbreviated as NGT is a special tube that carries food and medicine to the stomach through the nasopharynx which is usually used for inpatients who are unconscious or have difficulty swallowing. There are many factors that need to be considered in selecting and preparing drugs to be given via NGT because they can potentially harm the patient or health worker concerned. This report was created to produce a guide for administering medication via NGT at RSUPN Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo as an active Providing Drug Information (PIO) activity by pharmacists. The method used in this report is literature study through the 2022 RSCM Formulary as well as references for drug preparation for NGT in the Handbook of Drug Administration Via Enteral Feeding Tubes Third Edition and The NEWT Guidelines for administration of medication to patients with enteral feeding tubes or swallowing difficulties, NIOSH List of Antineoplastic and Other Hazardous Drugs in Healthcare Settings, and Oral Dosage Forms That Should Not Be Crushed. The conclusion of this report is that the creation of a Guide for Giving Medication via NGT was carried out in several stages, namely looking for references for administering medication through NGT, sorting the list Universitas Indonesia of oral drugs in the RSCM Formulary, studying preparation information, and compiling the guide.
