Skripsi ini mengeksplorasi simbolisme ideologi Fasisme Jerman pada bangunan Die Neue Reichskanzlei yang terdiri atas simbolisasi arsitektural melalui skala beserta kualitasnya dan simbol non-arsitektural berupa lambang kenegaraan dan karya seni. Selain itu, skripsi ini juga mengeksplorasi simbolisme kejayaan arsitektur Yunani dan Romawi Kuno sebagai perpanjangan dari teori Ruin Value melalui pembedahan bagian-bagian bangunan berupa kolom, pintu, jendela, bracket dan lengkungan yang memiliki kemiripan dengan kedua elemen arsitektur tersebut. Skripsi ini berangkat dari masalah kurangnya literatur yang membahas hal-hal tersebut secara menyeluruh dengan tujuan pertama untuk mengetahui simbolisasi ideologi Fasisme Jerman dalam bentuk arsitektural dan non-arsitektural serta peran simbol-simbol tersebut terhadap persepsi manusia, identitas bangunan, dan kuasa dan tujuan kedua untuk memahami kemiripan antara bagian-bagian bangunan pada Die Neue Reichskanzlei dengan arsitektur klasik dari Yunani dan Romawi Kuno dalam menyimbolisasikan kejayaan kedua arsitektur tersebut. Penyelidikan dilakukan menggunakan metode kajian literatur untuk teori dan sejarah untuk kemudian digunakan saat pembahasan untuk mendapatkan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelusuran, didapatkan hasil bahwa Die Neue Reichskanzlei menggunakan bentuk kuasa force, domination/intimidation, dan seduction yang kemudian terhubung dengan kuasa authority melalui persepsi manusia akan kebesaran bangunan yang terhubung dengan authority sehingga mampu meningkatkan citra dan legitimasi kuasa Adolf Hitler dengan Reich Ketiganya. Selain itu, bangunan juga cukup representatif terhadap arsitektur klasik Romawi dan Yunani Kuno.

This study explores the symbolism of German Fascism ideology in Die Neue Reichskanzlei, which consists of architectural symbolism through scale with its quality and non-architectural symbols. Additionally, this thesis explores the symbolism of Greek and Roman architecture’s glory as an extension of Theory of Ruin Value by breaking down building components that bear resemblance to elements from those two. The thesis stems from the lack of literature comprehensively discussing these topics with the primary aim to understand the symbolism of German Fascism ideology in both architectural and non-architectural forms, as well as their role on human perception, building identity, and power. The secondary aim is to understand the similarities between the building components Die Neue Reichskanzlei and Ancient Greek and Roman architecture in symbolizing the glory of both. The research was conducted using a literature review method for theory and history, which was then utilized in the discussion to reach conclusions. Based on the findings, it was concluded that the Die Neue Reichskanzlei utilized forms of power such as force, domination/intimidation, and seduction, which were then linked to authority through connection of human perception of the building’s grandeur to authority, thereby enhancing the image and legitimization of Adolf Hitler and his Third Reich’s power. Additionally, it was also concluded that the building is quite representative to Roman and Greek architecture.
