Isu perubahan iklim menuntut percepatan efisiensi energi melalui adopsi produk yang lebih hemat energi. Namun, konsumen sering kali belum dapat mengoptimalkan pilihan produk hemat energi karena adanya kesenjangan energi efisiensi. Kesenjangan ini dapat diatasi dengan memberikan informasi energi suatu produk kepada konsumen. Studi sebelumnya menunjukkan bahwa informasi perbandingan konsumsi daya berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keputusan konsumen, sementara pengaruh informasi perhitungan biaya menunjukkan hasil yang bervariasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi peluang informasi perhitungan biaya penghematan listrik untuk meningkatkan adopsi produk AC hemat energi di Indonesia. Melalui survei online terhadap 318 responden di Jakarta, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa informasi penghematan biaya listrik pada produk AC tidak signifikan dalam memengaruhi keputusan responden. Sebaliknya, pengetahuan tentang logo SKEM dan kesadaran lingkungan memiliki dampak positif. Selain itu, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden tidak memiliki literasi investasi dan energi yang tinggi. Hasil ini mengindikasikan pentingnya pemerintah untuk melakukan peningkatan sosialisasi dan edukasi mengenai efisiensi energi terhadap masyarakat.

The issue of climate change demands accelerated energy efficiency through the adoption of more energy-efficient products. However, consumers often struggle to optimize their choices of energy-efficient products due to an energy efficiency gap. This gap can be bridged by providing consumers with energy information about the products. Previous studies have shown that comparative power consumption information significantly influences consumer decisions, whereas the impact of monetary information shows varied results. This study explores the potential of providing electricity cost-saving information to enhance the adoption of energy-efficient air conditioners (ACs) in Indonesia. Through an online survey of 318 respondents in Jakarta, the study found that electricity cost-saving information on AC products did not significantly influence respondents' decisions. However, knowledge of the SKEM logo and environmental awareness had a positive impact. Also, the study revealed that most respondents lacked high investment and energy literacy. These results indicate the importance for the government to enhance socialization and education regarding energy efficiency among the public.
