 Abstract

Penelitian ini meneliti bagaimana permasalahan yang dihadapi para perawat lansia Indonesia yang beragama Islam ketika bekerja di Prefektur Kochi. Fenomena peningkatan lansia di Jepang dan dampaknya terhadap kebutuhan tenaga kerja, dengan fokus khusus pada prefektur Kochi. Tantangan perbedaan budaya yang dihadapi perawat lansia asing dirasakan. Tidak hanya perawat lansia asing saja, tantangan akan perbedaan budaya dirasakan oleh perawat lansia Muslim. Salah satunya adalah stereotip buruk tentang Islam di mata dunia juga mempengaruhi masyarakat Jepang terhadap Islam. Karena stereotip tersebut yang sering kali menyebabkan penolakan terhadap nilai-nilai kepercayaan dan budaya baru yang dibawa oleh para pekerja migran Muslim. Kendala dalam menjalankan aktivitas ibadah sehari-hari, seperti sholat, serta masalah yang terkait dengan penggunaan hijab, menjadi tantangan utama bagi pekerja perawat lansia Muslim. Para perawat lansia Muslim dituntut tidak hanya dalam pekerjaan namun juga beradaptasi di lingkungan baru yang minoritas beragama Islam. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan proses pengumpulan data memanfaatkan wawancara, studi literatur dan observasi sebagai metode utama.

This research examines the problems faced by Indonesian Muslim elderly nurses when working in Kochi Prefecture. The phenomenon of increasing elderly in Japan and its impact on workforce needs, with a special focus on Kochi Prefecture. The challenges of cultural differences faced by foreign elderly nurses are felt. Not only foreign elderly nurses, the challenges of cultural differences are felt by Muslim elderly nurses. One of them is the negative stereotype of Islam in the eyes of the world also affects Japanese society towards Islam. Because these stereotypes often cause rejection of the values of new beliefs and cultures brought by Muslim migrant workers. Obstacles in carrying out daily religious activities, such as praying, as well as problems related to the use of the hijab, are the main challenges for Muslim elderly nurse workers. Muslim elderly nurses are required not only in their work but also to adapt to a new environment where the Muslim minority is. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method with a data collection process utilizing interviews, literature studies and observations as the main methods.
