Skripsi ini menelusuri konsep glitch sebagai pemicu terjadinya perubahan identitas arsitektural pada suatu konteks. Mengadopsi terminologi dari teori-teori Deleuzian dan Latourian, skripsi ini berargumen bahwa sistem atau entitas nonmanusia memiliki agensi dalam diskursus arsitektur dan produksi ruang di dalamnya. Kehadiran glitch adalah sebuah bentuk slippage, hal ini dimaknai sebagai proses pergeseran identitas yang tak terduga. Proses slippage tersebut terjadi dengan dipicu oleh suatu subjek, yang di sini disebut sebagai aktan. Skripsi ini berupaya memperluas diskusi pergeseran tersebut dengan memahami bagaimana subjek pemicu slippage dapat dibentuk oleh entitas teknologis yang bersifat maya di luar kendali manusia. Tulisan ini mengeksplorasi kehadiran glitch sebagai event teknologis yang hadir melalui mekanisme disorientasi dan nonperforma. Mekanisme tersebut kemudian membentuk identitas ruang berbeda. Skripsi ini menelusuri mekanisme tersebut melalui karya H3333333K oleh !Mediengruppe Bitnik dan RoboFab Bike Trail Pavilion oleh srpLAB. Skripsi ini menyimpulkan bahwa glitch memberikan implikasi spasial yang provokatif dalam luaran arsitektural. Adanya glitch mengubah familiaritas elemen spasial dan menghadirkan workflow proses rancangan yang terbuka, dan dengan demikian mengubah identitas pada konteksnya.

This paper explores the concept of the glitch as a trigger that alters architectural identity within a given context. Adopting terminology from Deleuzian and Latourian theories, this study argues that systems or nonhuman entities possess agency in architectural discourse and the production of space therein. The existence of a glitch is a form of slippage, understood as an unexpected process of identity displacement. A slippage occurs when triggered by a subject, here referred to as an actant. This thesis seeks to broaden this discussion by understanding how slippage-triggering subjects can be shaped by virtual or technological entities beyond human control. This paper explores the presence of glitches as technological events through the mechanisms of disorientation and nonperformance, which present different spatial identities. This paper investigates those mechanisms through the works of H3333333K by !Mediengruppe Bitnik and RoboFab Bike Trail Pavilion by srpLAB. This study concludes that glitches have provocative spatial implications in architectural outcomes. The existence of the glitch reshapes the familiarity of spatial elements and introduces open-ended workflows, thus changing the identity of their context.
