Metode: 228 butir dalam 19 set PPVT IV diterjemahkan dalam Bahasa Indonesia. Kemudian dilakukan revisi berdasarkan kultur bangsa Indonesia oleh seorang ahli budaya dan bahasa. 105 anak usia 48-59 bulan diuji dengan PPVT IV Modifikasi. Hasil tes dianalisa untuk menilai kesahihan dan keandalan PPVT IV Modifikasi. Kesahiban konstruksi dinilai dengan koefisien korelasi antara skor set dan skor total serta koefisien korelasi antara skor butir dan skor set. Keandalan dinilai dengan intraclass correlation coefficient, standard error of measurement (SEM) dan alpha Cronbach. Hasil: Kesahihan konstruksi PPVT IV modifikasi adalah baik (r>0,256; a=O,Ol n=lOO) dan keandalannya tinggi ((internal consistency dengan alpha Cronbach = 0,938, keandalan inter-rater= 0.957-0,985 dan standard error of measurement (SEM) = 6,4). Kesimpulan : PPVT IV Modifikasi merupakan instrumen yang sahih dengan keandalan yang memuaskan. Untuk meningkatkan kesahihan konstruksinya, terdapat 36 butir yang sebaiknya diganti. PPVT IV modifikasi ini mudah dilakukan dan dapat direkomendasikan untuk anak umur 48-59 bulan.

Method: 228 items in 19 sets of PPVT IV was translated in Indonesian language and revised according to Indonesian culture. One hundred and five 48-59 months old children were tested. The results were analyzed for its construct validity and reliability. Main outcome measures: Modified PPVT IV had a good construct validity and high reliability. Results: The construct validity of Modified P PVT IV was good (r>0,256; a=O, OJ n= 1 00) and the reliability was high (internal consistency with Cronbach alpha= 0,938, interrater reliability= 0.957-0,985 and standard e"or of measurement (SEM)= 6,4). Conclusion: Modified PPVT IV was a valid instrument with satisfactory reliability. To increase the construct validity, there were 36 items that should be substituted It was easy to administer and could be recommended for 48-59 months old child.
