Sebuah sinema elektronik atau yang lebih dikenal dengan singkatan sinetron, memiliki beragam jenis cerita yang ditayangkan oleh stasiun televisi. Sinetron pun menjadi salah satu jenis tayangan yang paling sering disaksikan oleh masyarakat. Tanpa disadari oleh penontonnya, bagaimana cerita dalam sinetron berkembang dan dieksekusi dapat dianalisis dengan teori realisme dan naturalisme. Karena dekat dengan masyarakat, dua teori tersebut mampu mengevaluasi apakah cerita dan penampilan pemain menunjukkan hal-hal yang memang realistis dan natural. Menurut hasil peneliti, sinetron religi bertajuk “Buku Harian Nayla” ini masuk kedalam kategori realisme, karena sesuai dengan kenyataan. Dalam analisis kritis ini, sinetron “Buku Harian Nayla” tidak mengikuti gaya atau format sinetron religi di Indonesia pada umumnya.

In this critical analysis, the soap opera "Nayla's Diary" does not follow the style or format of religious soap operas in Indonesia in general.
