Predikat berupa verba tidak dapat berdiri sendiri, melainkan harus diikuti oleh unsur lain, salah satunya adalah reduplikasi verbal. Reduplikasi verbal mengandung makna semantis tertentu yang akan ditelaah dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan makna delimitatif dan makna tentatif yang muncul dalam reduplikasi verbal pada kalimat 把 ba. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode kualitatif dengan penyajian deskriptif. Data penelitian berupa reduplikasi verbal pada kalimat 把 ba yang diperoleh dari dialog pada drama dan narasi pada novel. Dalam analisis, penulis memasukkan konteks untuk mendeskripsikan makna tertentu pada data. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa reduplikasi verbal pada kalimat 把 ba mengandung makna delimitatif, makna tentatif dan kombinasi antara makna delimitatif + tentatif dalam konteks tertentu.

The 把 ba sentence, also called disposal sentence, is a sentence that places the object after 把 ba and before the verb. The disposal sentence has the basic pattern, namely the S 把 O P. The predicate which is the verb cannot stand alone, but must be followed by other elements, such as verbal reduplication. Verbal reduplication contains certain semantic meanings which will be examined in this research. This research aims to describe the delimitative and tentative meanings which appear in the verbal reduplication of 把 ba sentence. The research has been conducted using qualitative method with descriptive approach. The research data is in the form of verbal reduplication found in the 把 ba sentence, which is obtained from the drama's dialogues and novel's narration. In the analysis, the authors include context to describe the certain meaning in the data. The results of the research prove that the verbal reduplication in the 把 ba sentence contains delimitative meaning, tentative meaning and a combination of delimitative + tentative meaning in certain contexts.
