Background: The occurrence of COVID-19 pandemic may affect the prevalence of patients with complaints of impacted teeth in RSKGM FKG UI and there is no recent research on the distribution and frequency of impacted teeth based on the classification of impaction, tooth elements, age, gender, indications for extraction, complications, and treatment in RSKGM FKG UI during the COVID-19 pandemic. Objective: This study aims to determine the distribution and frequency of impacted teeth during the COVID-19 pandemic in RSKGM FKG UI June 2020 – June 2021 period. Methods: Retrospective descriptive study is done using the secondary data found in the patient’s medical record. Results: From 3,225 medical records of oral surgery patients at RSKGM FKG UI in June 2019 – June 2021 period, there were 1496 patients with impacted teeth. The frequency of impacted teeth cases before the pandemic was 825 (55.1%) cases and during the pandemic there were 671 (44.9%) cases. Conclusion: COVID-19 has caused a decrease in the distribution and frequency of impacted tooth cases by 18.7%. The highest frequency distribution of impacted teeth was in female patients (66.6%), age group 21-30 (70.2%), more often in third molar (98.2%), tooth element number 38 (48%). The most often classification of mandibular third molar impaction was mesioangular (37.4%), class A (69.7%), and class 2 (73.9%). The most often classification of impacted maxillary molars was vertical (61.3%), class B (41.9%), and SA (58.1%). The indication for extraction as a form of complaint was mostly due to patients discomfort (45.9%) and the most frequent treatment was odontectomy (91.2%).
