Studi ini bertujuan meneliti dampak pemilu terhadap efisiensi dan profitabilitas bank di Indonesia periode 2013 hingga 2020. Hipotesis dirumuskan berdasarkan perilaku pemerintah, bank sentral, perusahaan (bank), dan individu. Sampel terdiri dari 42 bank yang tercatat di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Generalized Method of Moments (GMM). Penelitian menemukan bahwa perilaku perusahaan (bank) pada tahun pemilu mempengaruhi profitabilitas bank, sedangkan perilaku pemerintah, bank sentral, dan individu pada tahun pemilu mempengaruhi efisiensi bank.

This study aims to examine the impact of elections on bank's efficiency and profitability of banks in Indonesia within the period 2013-2020. The hypothesis is formulated based on the behavior of the government, central bank, banks, and individuals. The sample consists of 42 banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) is used to test the hypothesis. The study found that banks’ behavior in the election year affects bank profitability, while the government, central bank, and individuals in the election year affect bank efficiency.
