Sejak kasus COVID-19 pertama dikonfirmasi di Kota Palangka Raya, angka kejadian dan kematian akibat COVID-19 terus meningkat. Kota Palangka Raya merupakan daerah dengan kasus konfirmasi positif terbanyak di Kalimantan Tengah, yaitu 4.540 kasus konfirmasi COVID-19 dengan jumlah kematian 141 kasus pertanggal 31 Maret 2021. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran epidemiologi kasus konfirmasi COVID-19 berdasarkan orang, tempat, dan waktu di Kota Palangka Raya Tahun 2021 (Bulan Januari – April). Penelitian serial kasus ini menggunakan data penyelidikan epidemiologi dan data surveilans kasus konfirmasi COVID-19 yang ada di Dinas Kesehatan Kota Palangka Raya selama bulan Januari – April 2021. Selama periode tersebut terdapat 3.708 kasus konfirmasi, yang paling banyak terkonfirmasi kelompok umur 20 – 29 tahun. 63,9% kasus konfirmasi melaporkan adanya gejala, demam/ riwayat demam merupakan gejala terbanyak yang dilaporkan. Penyakit komorbid yang paling banyak adalah hipertensi (5,3%), diabetes (3,1%) dan penyakit jantung (1,6%). 30,8% kasus konfirmasi tidak mempunyai riwayat perjalanan dan tidak diketahui riwayat kontaknya. Rasio fatalitas kasus yang diamati adalah 2,5/100 kasus konfirmasi. Insidens kasus per 100.000 populasi per minggu adalah 50-<150 (wilayah dengan risiko tinggi infeksi untuk populasi umum). Kecamatan Jekan Raya merupakan kecamatan dengan insidens kasus terbanyak dan mempunyai level penularan komunitas tertinggi setiap minggunya.

Since the first COVID-19 case was confirmed in Palangka Raya, the number of incidents and deaths from COVID-19 had continued to increase. Palangka Raya was the area with the most positive confirmation cases in Central Kalimantan, with 4,540 confirmed COVID-19 cases with 141 deaths as of March 31, 2021. The aim of this study was to determine the epidemiological description of confirmed cases of COVID-19 by person, place, and time in Palangka Raya City between January and April 2021. This case series study used epidemiological investigation data and surveillance data for the COVID-19 confirmation cases from Health Office in Palangka Raya. During this period, there were 3,708 confirmed cases. The most exposed to the Coronavirus was amongst the 20-29 years age group. 63.9% of confirmed cases were symptomatic with common symptoms of fever/ history of fever, cough, and flu. The most common comorbid diseases were hypertension (5.3%), diabetes (3.1%), and heart disease (1.6%). 30.8% of confirmed cases had no travel and contact history. The observed case-fatality ratio was 2.5/100 confirmed cases. The incidence of cases per 100,000 population per week was 50-<150 (areas with a high risk of infection for the general population). Jekan Raya was the sub-district with the most incidents and had the highest level of community transmission every week.
