Apoteker mempunyai peranan penting terutama di apotek, industri farmasi, maupun di pedagang besar farmasi. Untuk menjalankan peran penting tersebut, apoteker harus mempunyai kompetensi yang mumpuni sebagai syarat melakukan praktik kefarmasian. World Health Organization mengeluarkan istilah seven-stars pharmacist consept, yang merupakan peran penting bagi seorang apoteker. Salah satu peran seorang apoteker tersebut adalah life long learner, yaitu apoteker harus selalu memperbarui pengetahuan dan keterampilannya seiring dengan perubahan tren dari waktu ke waktu. Pada kesempatan kali ini, penulis berkesempatan mengikuti Praktik Kerja Profesi Apoteker (PKPA) di Apotek Atrika, PT. Harsen Laboratories, dan PT. SamMarie Tramedifa selama periode bulan Agustus – Desember 2020. Selama PKPA diharapkan calon apoteker dapat meningkatkan wawasannya di dunia kefarmasian sebagai bekal memasuki dunia kerja.
