The global manufacturing industry continues to undergo significant transformation along with technological advancements, shifting the conventional production paradigm towards a more efficient, adaptive and sustainable system. In the midst of these changes, industries are required to adopt methods that are able to respond to challenges quickly and efficiently. Lean Manufacturing with the principle of Kaizen (continuous improvement) emerges as a critical solution in this context, especially for Low Mix High Volume (LMHV) industries that operate with limited product variations but massive production volumes. Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen principles are crucial approaches to improve production efficiency and reduce waste in various manufacturing contexts. Strategic decision-making in managing production efficiency in LMHV is a complex challenge that requires deep understanding. Serious Simulation Game (SSG) as a learning medium is not a new research field, but there are still few studies that focus on teaching lean-kaizen tools concepts in the context of LMHV. Thus, the purpose of this research is to develop a SSG design as a learning medium that can improve understanding of lean-kaizen tools in the LMHV industry, including waste identification, tool implementation strategies, and resource prioritization. The goal of the game is to find the best scenario that results in the highest production efficiency and meets the target demand.
