Keterikatan emosional dengan karakter anime adalah hal yang umum di kalangan penggemar anime. Keterikatan ini disebut sebagai hubungan parasosial. Salah satu faktor yang memengaruhi terbentuknya hubungan ini adalah pola kelekatan, yang terdiri atas dimensi kecemasan dan penghindaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan antara pola kelekatan dan hubungan parasosial pada penggemar anime. Sebanyak 499 penggemar anime berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini. Multiple Parasocial Relationship Scale (MPRS) digunakan untuk mengukur hubungan parasosial, dan Experiences in Close Relationships–Relationship Structures (ECR-RS) digunakan untuk mengukur pola kelekatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dimensi kecemasan berkorelasi positif dengan hubungan parasosial (r = 0,224, p < 0,001), sedangkan dimensi penghindaran berkorelasi negatif (r = -0,110, p = 0,014). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penggemar anime dengan skor dimensi kecemasan yang lebih tinggi cenderung memiliki hubungan parasosial yang lebih intens, sementara penggemar anime dengan skor dimensi penghindaran yang lebih tinggi cenderung memiliki hubungan parasosial yang lebih rendah.

Emotional attachment to anime characters is common among anime fans. This type of attachment is referred to as a parasocial relationship. One of the factors that may influence the development of such relationships is attachment style, which consists of two dimensions: attachment anxiety and attachment avoidance. This study aims to examine the relationship between attachment style and parasocial relationships among anime fans. A total of 499 anime fans participated in this study. The Multiple Parasocial Relationship Scale (MPRS) was used to measure parasocial relationships, and the Experiences in Close Relationships–Relationship Structures (ECR-RS) was used to measure attachment style. The results showed a positive correlation between attachment anxiety and parasocial relationships (r = 0.224, p < 0.001), and a negative correlation for attachment avoidance (r = -0.110, p = 0.014). These findings suggest that anime fans with higher attachment anxiety scores tend to have more intense parasocial relationships, whereas those with higher attachment avoidance scores tend to have weaker parasocial relationships.
