 Abstract

Indonesia menghadapi tantangan besar dalam krisis energi akibat menurunnya cadangan bahan bakar fosil dan peningkatan signifikan emisi karbon dioksida (CO₂). Sebagai bentuk komitmen terhadap Paris Agreement, Indonesia menargetkan pengurangan emisi gas rumah kaca sebesar 41% pada tahun 2030. Salah satu solusi inovatif untuk mendukung pencapaian target tersebut adalah pengembangan hidrogen hijau yang dihasilkan melalui proses elektrolisis air dengan memanfaatkan energi terbarukan yang bebas emisi. Penelitian ini mengkaji potensi penerapan Green Hydrogen Plant di PLTS Likupang, yang memanfaatkan energi dari Solar Photovoltaic (Solar PV) untuk memproduksi hidrogen hijau menggunakan teknologi Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) elektrolisis. Teknologi ini dipilih karena keunggulannya dalam efisiensi dan kemurnian hidrogen yang dihasilkan. Analisis mencakup evaluasi kelayakan teknis dan ekonomis menggunakan metode Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Payback Period (PBP), Profitability Index (PI), serta analisis risiko melalui metode Monte Carlo. Dengan kapasitas produksi mencapai 481.576,32 kg hidrogen hijau per tahun, Green Hydrogen Plant ini diproyeksikan mampu mengurangi emisi CO₂, sekaligus mendukung transisi energi bersih di Indonesia dan mendorong keberlanjutan energi di Asia Tenggara.

Indonesia faces significant challenges in the energy crisis due to declining fossil fuel reserves and a substantial increase in carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions. As part of its commitment to the Paris Agreement, Indonesia targets a 41% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. One innovative solution to support this goal is the development of green hydrogen produced through water electrolysis utilizing emission-free renewable energy. This study examines the potential implementation of a Green Hydrogen Plant at the Likupang Solar Power Plant, leveraging energy from Solar Photovoltaics (Solar PV) to produce green hydrogen using Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) electrolysis technology. This technology was selected for its superior efficiency and hydrogen purity. The analysis includes a technical and economic feasibility evaluations using methods such as Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Payback Period (PBP), Profitability Index (PI), and risk analysis through the Monte Carlo method. With a production capacity of 481.576,32 kg of green hydrogen per year, this Green Hydrogen Plant is projected to reduce CO₂ emissions, supporting Indonesia's clean energy transition and promoting energy sustainability in Southeast Asia.
