"Traffic accidents are the third largest cause of death according to the World Health Organization. Moreover, driver fatigue is the second largest factor that causes traffic accidents after traffic violations. The purpose of this study is to find out the significance of driver fatigue using physiological, cognitive, and subjective approaches, as well as a comparison of fatigue between male and female drivers. The study involved twelve respondents, which included six male respondents and six female respondents aged 17−25 years old, measured by physiological (blood pressure and heart rate), cognitive (psychomotor vigilance test), and subjective (Karolinska Sleepiness Scale) approaches. The result of this study is that heart rate is the most sensitive variable. However all of the variables in male and female respondents do not have a significant result. There is no big difference in fatigue levels in male and female car drivers. The conclusion of the study is that the approaches could not be a standardized way to measure fatigue for male and female car drivers because of the variation in results."

"The study is aimed at proposing a solution for preventing ship accidents, ship collisions in particular, in Indonesia's busiest ferry crossing lane between Merak on Java Island and Bakauheni on Sumatera Island on the Sunda Strait, which intersects with the Indonesian Archipelagic Sea Lane. The Indonesian Archipelagic Sea Lane is provided by the Government of Indonesia, an archipelagic country, as an international passageway for ships sailing through Indonesian waters from the Indian Ocean to the South China Sea and the Pacific Ocean, by implementing a traffic separation scheme that regulates traffic proceeding in opposite or nearly opposite directions by means of a separation zone or line, traffic lane, etc. The study is motivated by records of fatal accidents that have taken place in the strait, and a portrait of the congested crossing lane is provided. The concept of a traffic separation scheme and its implementation in the Sunda Strait is simulated, with the conclusion that the scheme could minimize potential collisions between ships sailing through the strait. Therefore, it is urgent for the government to implement the scheme."

"This study proposes a method of optimizing the dry storage design for nuclear-spent fuel from the G.A. Siwabessy research reactor at National Nuclear Energy Agency of Indonesia (BATAN). After several years in a spent fuel pool storage (wet storage), nuclear spent fuel is often moved to dry storage. Some advantages of dry storage compared with wet storage are that there is no generation of liquid waste, no need for a complex and expensive purification system, less corrosion concerns and that dry storage is easier to transport if in the future the storage needs to be sent to the another repository or to the final disposal. In both wet and dry storage, the decay heat of spent fuel must be cooled to a safe temperature to prevent cracking of the spent fuel cladding from where hazardous radioactive nuclides could be released and harm humans and the environment. Three optimization scenarios including the thermal safety single-objective, the economic single-objective and the multi-objective optimizations are obtained. The optimum values of temperature and cost for three optimization scenarios are 317.8K (44.7°C) and 11638.1 US$ for the optimized single-objective thermal safety method, 337.1K (64.0°C) and 6345.2 US$ for the optimized single-objective cost method and 325.1K (52.0°C) and 8037.4 US$ for the optimized multi-objective method, respectively."

"In transportation science, the individual’s willingness to pay (WTP) to decrease the number of fatal traffic accidents is one approach to determining the value of road safety (VRS). Such an approach can be performed with the stated preference method, which refers to the concept of preferences contained in microeconomic theory. The concept explains that humans’ behavior is based on their preferences. Researchers have criticized this method because an individual’s preference does not necessarily reflect one’s behavior (B). However, in psychology, this is known as the theory of planned behavior (TPB), which states that human behavior is formed on the basis of intention (I). Until now, VRS determination has lacked an instrument to control the suitability of preference value, which respondents may provide in contrast to their actual behavior; therefore, VRS determination is exposed to potential bias. The purpose of this research is to make intention an instrument for controlling and analyzing the interactions between the preferences and intentions of road users in determining the behavior of paying for vehicle maintenance as a basis for determining VRS. The analytical technique used to analyze the interaction is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The research data was obtained through the distribution of a survey form regarding the preferences and intentions of toll road users in Indonesia. The number of samples in this research model were 250 respondents, consisting of 175 men and 75 women who met the criteria for research subjects. Based on the SEM analysis, I had a more significant effect on B than on WTP (63.1% > 35.2%) in correcting the determination of VRS."

"Transportasi merupakan sarana yang dipergunakan untuk melakukan perpindahan manusia maupun barang. Transportasi darat menjadi transportasi yang paling banyak digunakan oleh manusia dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Selain memberikan keuntungan bagi kehidupan, disisi lain transportasi juga dapat menimbulkan dampak negatif bagi penggunanya, bilamana terjadi kecelakaan lalu lintas yang dapat menimbulkan konsekuensi serius pada kesehatan masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis hubungan antara faktor-faktor risiko kecelakaan (faktor manusia, kendaraan, dan lingkungan) dengan kejadian kecelakaan lalu lintas di Kota Administrasi Jakarta Timur pada tahun 2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi cross-sectional dengan metode kuantitatif dan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah pengemudi yang terlibat kejadian kecelakaan lalu lintas mayoritas mengalami cedera/luka dan gambaran distribusinya didominasi oleh kelompok usia ≤ 35 tahun, berjenis kelamin laki-laki, berpendidikan tinggi, memiliki pekerjaan, mengalami kecelakaan akibat perilaku lengah dan kondisi jalan berlubang. Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kejadian kecelakaan lalu lintas dengan faktor manusia, yaitu pendidikan dan kecepatan tinggi. Dimana pengemudi dengan pendidikan tinggi lebih berisiko 62,7 kali untuk mengalami kecelakaan lalu lintas dibandingkan dengan yang berpendidikan rendah dan pengemudi yang berkendara dengan kecepatan tinggi lebih berisiko 0,04 kali mengalami kecelakaan lalu lintas dibandingkan dengan yang berkendara dalam kecepatan rendah. Tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kejadian kecelakaan lalu lintas dengan faktor kendaraan dan faktor lingkungan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah faktor manusia memiliki peran penting dalam terjadinya kecelakaan.

Transportation is a tool used to carry out the movement of people and goods. Land transportation is the most widely used transportation by humans in everyday life. In addition to providing benefits for life, on the other hand transportation can also have a negative impact on its users, if a traffic accident occurs which then has serious consequences for public health. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between accident risk factors (human, vehicle, and environmental factors) and traffic accidents in the Administrative City of East Jakarta in 2023. The research design used was a cross-sectional with quantitative methods and simple random sampling technique. The results of this study are that the majority of drivers involved in traffic accidents experience injuries and the distribution is dominated by the age group ≤ 35 years, male, highly educated, has a job, has accidents due to negligent behavior and potholes potholes on the road. There is a significant relationship between traffic accidents and human factors, namely education and high speed. Where drivers with higher education are 62.7 times more at risk of experiencing traffic accidents than those with low education and drivers who drive at high speeds are 0.04 times more at risk of experiencing traffic accidents than those who drive at low speeds. There is no significant relationship between traffic accidents and vehicle and environmental factors. The conclusion of this study is that the human factor has an important role in the occurrence of accidents."

"Pengendalian jarak jauh (teleremote operation), yang merupakan engineering control untuk mengurangi tingkat kecelakaan operator Autonomous LHD di PT F, seringkali mengalami productivity loss. Hal tersebut terjadi karena tingginya tingkat kecelakaan yang mengakibatkan kerusakan alat, sehingga total downtime hours pada alat tersebut lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan operational hours-nya. Penelitian ini memberikan gambaran analisis kecelakaan Autonomous LHD tambang bawah tanah G dari sudut pandang faktor manusia, yaitu dari sisi kegagalan aktif (active failures) dan kegagalan laten (latent failures), untuk mengetahui tindakan tidak aman serta faktor-faktor yang mendasari tingginya tingkat kecelakaan alat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dibuat berdasarkan Human Factor Analysis and Classification System in Mining Industry (HFACS-MI) dengan teknik observasi dan wawancara untuk mengumpulkan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegagalan laten (latent failures) lebih banyak ditemukan dibandingkan dengan kegagalan aktif (active failures). Kesalahan berbasis keterampilan (skill-based errors) adalah faktor yang paling sering ditemukan pada kegagalan aktif (active failures), sedangkan faktor lingkungan, kepemimpinan, iklim organisasi, dan faktor luar menjadi faktor yang paling sering ditemukan pada kegagalan laten (latent failures).

Teleremote operation, an engineering control to reduce the accident rate of Autonomous LHD operators at PT F, often experiences productivity loss. The situation occurs due to the high accident rate that results in equipment damage, causing the total downtime hours on the equipment is higher than the operational hours. This research provides an overview of the accident analysis of the G underground mine Autonomous LHD from the human factor perspective i.e., in terms of active failures and latent failures, to determine the unsafe acts and the underlying factors of the equipment's high accident rate. The method used in this research is based on the Human Factor Analysis and Classification System in Mining Industry (HFACS-MI) with observation and interview techniques to collect data. The results show that latent failures are more frequent than active failures. Skill-based errors are the most frequently found factor in active failures, while environmental factors, inadequate leadership, organizational climate, and other factors are the most prevalent factors in latent failures."

"Kecelakaan kerja yang disebabkan oleh unsafe acts dan unsafe conditions berkaitan erat dengan bagimana budaya keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja (K3) diterapkan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendapatkan gambaran awal budaya K3 enam SMK di Kota Depok tahun 2023. Metode penelitian yang digunakan analisis deskriptif menggunakan data kualitatif dan kuantitatif untuk memberikan gambaran terkait domain organisasi, teknologi, dan manusia terkait iklim K3 di enam SMK di Kota Depok. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner dengan sampel guru, tenaga kependidikan, dan siswa, instrumen wawancara dengan sampel pihak kepala sekolah atau perwakilan yang ditunjuk, dan instrumen observasi dilakukan peneliti secara langsung di SMK. Hasil gambaran awal budaya K3 antara lain empat SMK memiliki nilai baik dan dua SMK memiliki nilai cukup baik.

Accidents caused by unsafe acts and unsafe conditions are closely related to how the safety culture is implemented. The purpose of this study is to get an initial overview of the safety culture in six Depok City Vocational Schools in 2023. The research method used is descriptive analysis using qualitative and quantitative data to provide an overview related to organizational, technological, and human domains related to safety climate in six Vocational High Schools in Depok City. The instruments in this study were questionnaires with samples of teachers, educational staff, and students, interview instruments with samples of school principals or designated representatives, and observation instruments carried out by researchers directly at Vocational Schools. The results of the initial overview of the OSH culture included four Vocational Schools having good category and two Vocational Schools having fairly good category."

"International Labour Organization (ILO), setiap tahun ada lebih dari 250 juta kecelakaan di tempat kerja dan lebih dari 160 juta pekerja menjadi sakit karena bahaya di tempat kerja. dan 1,2 juta pekerja meninggal akibat kecelakaan dan sakit di tempat kerja. Dampaknya pada ekonomi dunia karena hilangnya hari kerja mendekati 4% dari GDP Global. PT. X merupakan perusahaan konsorsium konstruksi migas yang salah satu aktivitas yang memiliki tingkat kecelakaan kerja tinggi di PT. X hal ini dapat dilihat dari data pendahulu kecelakaan kerja yang dimiliki PT. X pada periode Januari 2023 sampai dengan April 2023 dengan total kasus kecelakaan kerja sebanyak 40 kejadian. Dari uraian diatas maka penulis ingin melakukan penelitian mengenai faktor yang mempengaruhi kecelakaan kerja pada perusahaan konstruksi migas di PT. X Tahun 2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian deskriptif analitik dengan rancangan crossectional. Penelitian ini memiliki sampel berjumlah 106, penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Mei 2023 sampai dengan Juni 2023, berusia rata-rata 28 tahun dan di dominasi usia di atas 28 tahun sebanyak 94 pekerja (88,7%), jenis kelamin di dominasi pekerja laki-laki sebanyak 85 pekerja (80,2%), untuk tingkat pendidikan di dominasi pekerja berpendidikan tingkat tinggi sebanyak 85 pekerja (83%), dan masa kerja di dominasi pekerja yang bekerja di bawah 5 tahun sebanyak 91 pekerja (85.8%). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pada Analisis Bivariat terdapat 3 Faktor yang mempengaruhi kecelakaan kerja yaitu Shift Kerja dengan hasil p value 0,000 < 0,05, Sosialisasi K3 dengan hasil p value 0,008 < 0,05, Pengawasan Manajemen dengan hasil nilai p value 0,032 < 0,05. Dengan hasil Analisis Multivariat yang menunjukkan bahwa faktor yang dominan adalah faktor shift kerja. Kesimpulannya adalah faktor yang paling mendominasi dalam terjadinya kecelakaan kerja adalah shift kerja.

International Labor Organization (ILO), every year there are more than 250 accidents in the workplace and more than 160 million workers become sick due to hazards in the workplace. and 1.2 million workers died as a result of accidents and illness at work. The impact on the world economy due to lost working days is close to 4% of Global GDP. PT. X is an oil and gas construction consortium company which is one of the activities that has a high work incident and or accident rate at PT. X, this can be seen from the work incident and accident predecessor data owned by PT. X in the period January 2023 to April 2023 with a total of 40 occupational incident and accident cases. From the description above, the authors want to conduct research on the factors that influence occupational incident and or accidents at oil and gas construction companies at PT. X Year 2023. This research uses a descriptive analytic research design with a cross-sectional design. This study has a sample of 106, the study was conducted from May 2023 to June 2023, the average age is 28 years and the predominance is over 28 years of age as many as 94 workers (88.7%), gender is dominated by male workers as many as 85 workers (80.2%), for the level of education dominated by highly educated workers as many as 85 workers (83%), and years of service dominated by workers who worked under 5 years as many as 91 workers (85.8%). The results of this study indicate that in Bivariate Analysis there are 3 factors that influence work accidents, namely Shift Work with a p-value of 0.000 <0.05, OSH Socialization with a p-value of 0.008 <0.05, Management Supervision with a p-value of 0.032 <0.05. With the results of Multivariate Analysis which shows that the dominant factor is the work shift factor. The conclusion is that the most dominating factor in the occurrence of work accidents is shift work."

"Berdasarkan data tahun 2019-2022 tercatat 17 kecelakaan kerja dilaporkan di dalam PT. XYZ, dari 17 kecelakaan, 14 terjadi di bagian produksi. Tujuan umum penelitian adalah menganalisis faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan kecelakaan kerja pada pekerja bagian produksi di PT. XYZ. Desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu cross sectional. Populasi dan sampel 152 pekerja menggunakan  teknik sampling jenuh. Data yang digunakan yaitu data primer berasal dari kuesioner dan observasi serta data sekunder perusahaan. Analisis data menggunakan uji chi- square. Hasil penelitian  40,1% pekerja pernah mengalami kecelakaan kerja dengan jenis kecelakaan terbanyak adalah terjepit, sebagian besar pekerja memiliki umur dewasa, laki-laki, pendidikan menengah, masa kerja ≤ 5 Tahun, pola kerja shift, memiliki sikap positif, sering/sangat sering melakukan tindakan tidak aman, kelelahan rendah/menengah, kondisi fisik baik, pengawasan kurang baik, pelatihan baik, sosialisasi baik, sering/sangat sering mendapatkan APD tidak tepat, housekeeping kondusif dan sering/sangat sering bersinggungan dengan kondisi tidak aman. Kemudian ada hubungan antara pengetahuan, tindakan tidak aman, kondisi fisik, pelatihan dan kondisi tidak aman dengan kecelakaan kerja (p value < 0,05). Maka berdasarkan hasil penelitian diharapkan PT. XYZ selalu dapat melakukan perbaikan yang berkelanjutan dalam upaya pencegahan kecelakaan kerja.

Based on data for 2019-2022, 17 work accidents were reported at PT. XYZ, out of 17 accidents, 14 occurred in production. The general objective of this research is to analyze the factors associated with work accidents in production workers at PT. XYZ. The research design used is cross sectional. The population and sample of 152 workers used saturated sampling technique. The data used are primary data derived from questionnaires and observations as well as secondary company data. Data analysis used the chi-square test. The results of the study 40.1% of workers had experienced work accidents with the most types of accidents being pinched, most workers were of mature age, male, secondary education, working period ≤ 5 years, shift work pattern, had a positive attitude, often/very often perform unsafe actions, low/medium fatigue, good physical condition, poor supervision, good training, good socialization, often/very often get inappropriate PPE, conducive housekeeping and often/very often intersect with unsafe conditions. Then there is a relationship between knowledge, unsafe actions, physical conditions, training and unsafe conditions with work accidents (p value <0.05). So based on the research results it is expected that PT. XYZ can always make continuous improvements in work accident prevention efforts."

"Kecelakaan lalu lintas menjadi isu yang memerlukan perhatian khusus pada Provinsi DI Yogyakarta karena secara geografis provinsi ini dilalui oleh jalur lintas selatan pulau jawa ditambah lagi pemerintah sedang gencar-gencarnya membangun jalur lintas selatan seperti Jalan tol Solo-Yogyakarta-NYIA Kulon Progo, dll. Hal ini dapat meningkatkan potensi terjadinya kecelakaan. Sebagai langkah awal untuk mencegah terjadinya kecelakaan diperlukannya untuk mengidentifikasi daerah rawan kecelakaan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengidentifikasi, menganalisis, serta memetakan daerah rawan kecelakaan pada jaringan jalan di Provinsi DI Yogyakarta dengan Sistem Informasi Geografis. Metode yang digunakan adalah Metode Angka Ekivalen Kecelakaan (AEK) sebagai parameter utama dan analisis Z-score untuk menentukan daerah rawan kecelakaan atau bukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat 13 ruas jalan dari 36 ruas jalan pada jaringan jalan Nasional yang termasuk daerah rawan kecelakaan dan 26 dari 97 ruas jalan pada jaringan jalan Provinsi yang termasuk daerah rawan kecelakaan. Dengan teridentifikasi daerah rawan kecelakaan ini diharapkan adanya penelitian lebih lanjut terkait peningkatan akan keselamatan pada daerah rawan kecelakaan tersebut.

Traffic accidents are an issue that requires special attention in DI Yogyakarta Province because geographically this province is traversed by the southern route of the island of Java plus the government is incessantly building a southern route such as the Solo-Yogyakarta-NYIA Kulon Progo toll road, etc. This can increase the potential for an accident to occur. As a first step to prevent accidents, it is necessary to identify accident-prone areas. Therefore, this research was conducted with the aim of identifying, analyzing, and mapping accident-prone areas on the road network in DI Yogyakarta Province with a Geographic Information System. The method used is the Accident Equivalent Number Method (AEK) as the main parameter and Z-score analysis to determine whether or not an accident-prone area. The results of the study show that there are 13 out of 36 road links in the National road network which are accident-prone areas and 26 out of 97 road sections in the Provincial road network which are accident-prone areas. By identifying these accident-prone areas, it is hoped that further research will be carried out related to improving safety in these accident-prone areas."
