"Telah dilakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian senyawa dimer isoeugenol terhadap histologi hati mencit (Mus musculus) jantan galur DDY. Tiga puluh ekor mencit dibagi dalam 6 kelompok, terdiri atas kelompok kontrol normal, kelompok kontrol perlakuan, dan kelompok perlakuan yang diberikan senyawa dimer isoeugenol secara oral dengan dosis 2 mg/kg bb, 4 mg/kg bb, 6 mg/kg bb, dan 8 mg/kg bb. Bahan uji diberikan setiap hari selama 7 hari berturut-turut. Kelompok kontrol perlakuan dan empat kelompok perlakuan diinduksi karbon tetraklorida pada waktu 2 jam setelah pemberian minyak zaitun atau senyawa dimer isoeugenol terakhir. Data persentase derajat kerusakan lobulus hati menunjukkan adanya perbedaan pada tiap kelompok perlakuan. Dosis 6 mg/kg bb diketahui dapat memberikan pengaruh hepatoprotektif terhadap histologi hati mencit. Hasil uji Anava 1-faktor menunjukkan tidak terdapat pengaruh pemberian dimer isoeugenol terhadap berat basah dan diameter vena sentralis hati mencit.
The aim of this study was to find hepatoprotective potency of isoeugenol dimer on liver histology of DDY strain male mice (Mus musculus). Thirty male mice were divided into 6 groups, consisting of normal control group, treatment control group, and four treatment groups. The treatment groups were administered with isoeugenol dimer orally at dose 2 mg/kg bw, 4 mg/kg bw, 6 mg/kg bw, and 8 mg/kg bw for 7 days in daily. Treatment control group and treatment groups were induced by carbon tetrachloride 2 hours after the last administration of olive oil or isoeugenol dimer. Data of the percentage damage degree of liver lobules showed that administration of isoeugenol dimer dose 6 mg/kg bw were given hepatoprotective effect on mice liver histology. Statistical analyisis using 1-factor Anava showed that there were no hepatoprotective effect of isoeugenol dimer on gross weight and central vein diameters of mice liver."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik gambaran pada mamografi dengan keganasan pada hasil histopatologi serta kesesuaian BI-RADS mamografi dengan hasil histopatologi. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain potong lintang dengan data sekunder yaitu 85 pasien perempuan dengan kelainan jinak/ganas pada payudara yang menjalani mamografi dan biopsi bedah atau core biopsy di RS kanker Dharmais Januari 2011 sampai Desember 2012. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat kesesuaian antara kecurigaan tingkat keganasan berdasarkan kategori BI-RADS mamografi dengan hasil pemeriksaan histopatologi. Mamografi memiliki sensitifitas 100% dan spesifitas relatif 88,9%, nilai duga negatif 100% dan nilai duga positif 97,1%. Mamografi berperan penting dalam mendiagnosis kelainan payudara.
This study aims to investigate the characteristics of the mammography findings with malignancy on histopathology results and the association of the BI-RADS mammography with histopathological results. This study used a cross-sectional design with secondary data of 85 female patients with benign /malignant breast abnormality who underwent mammography and surgical biopsy or core biopsy at Dharmais cancer hospital in January 2011 until December 2012. The results showed there is association between the level of suspicion of malignancy based on the BIRADS category mammography with histopathological examination. Mammography had a sensitivity rate 100% and a relative specificity rate 88.9%, negative predictive value 100% and a positive predictive value 97.1%. Mammography plays an important role in the diagnosis of breast abnormalities."

"Keong tutut (Bellamya javanica) telah lama dikenal oleh masyarakat tradisional di Indonesia sebagai alternatif untuk mengobati penyakit kuning yang merupakan gejala penyakit hati, terutama karena kandungan asam amino yang diduga terdapat dalam keong tutut, khususnya asam amino glutamat, glisin, dan sistein. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pengaruh pemberian daging keong tutut sebagai hepatoprotektor melalui pengamatan histopatologi hati dan pengukuran aktivitas alkali fosfatase (ALP) dalam serum menggunakan spektrofotometer UV-Vis. Sejumlah 36 ekor tikus putih jantan Sprague-Dawley dibagi menjadi 6 kelompok perlakuan, yaitu kontrol normal, kontrol negatif, kontrol positif, dosis 1, dosis 2, dan dosis 3. Kelompok kontrol normal dan kontrol negatif diberikan CMC 0,5%, kontrol positif diberikan silymarin dosis 9,45 mg/200 g bb tikus sedangkan untuk kelompok dosis diberikan serbuk daging keong tutut dengan dosis berturut-turut 56 mg/200 g bb tikus, 112 mg/200 g bb tikus, dan 224 mg/200 g bb tikus selama 14 hari. Pada hari ke-15, semua kelompok kecuali kelompok kontrol normal diinduksi hepatotoksik dengan CCl4 untuk mendapatkan kondisi kerusakan hati kemudian semua tikus dipuasakan makan dengan tetap diberikan minum. Setelah 24 jam induksi CCl4, dilakukan pengukuran aktivitas ALP serum dan pembedahan untuk mengambil organ hati. Hasil yang didapatkan menunjukkan bahwa pemberian daging keong tutut dosis 112 mg/200 g bb tikus dan 224 mg/200 g bb tikus mempunyai efek hepatoprotektor dalam mencegah kerusakan hati dibandingkan dengan kontrol negatif. Selain itu, terdapat perbedaan efek pada pemberian tiga varian dosis serbuk daging keong tutut. Dosis yang memiliki efek potensial sebagai hepatoprotektor adalah dosis 224 mg/200 g bb tikus (p < 0.05).
Fresh water snail (Bellamya javanica) has been known by traditional communities in Indonesia as an alternative to treat jaundice which is a liver disease symptoms, especially because its amino acid compounds, in particular, glutamic acid, glysine, and cysteine that can be found in tutut snail. This study aimed to observe the effect of fresh water snail flesh as hepatoprotector through liver histopathology and alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activities measurements in serum using UV-Vis spectrophotometer. A total of 36 white male rats of Sprague-Dawley were divided into 6 groups: normal control, negative control, positive control, dose 1, dose 2, and dose 3. Normal and negative control groups were received CMC 0,5%, positive control group were received silymarin dose 9,45 mg/200g bw rats and for dose groups were received fresh water snail flesh powder, consecutively, dose 56 mg/200g bw rats, dose 112 mg/200 g bw rats, and dose 224 mg/200 g bw rats for 14 days. On day-15, all groups, except normal control group, are hepatotoxicity induced by CCl4 to obtain liver damage in rats and were not allowed to eat for 24 hours. After 24 hours of CCl4 induced, ALP activities in serum was measured and the rats were being dissected to take the liver. The results showed that fresh water snail flesh powder at a dose of 112 mg/200 g bw and 224 mg/200 g bw give a hepatoprotective effect when being compared to negative control. In addition, there are variance effect in 3 doses and the potential effect as a hepatoprotector is given by dose 224 mg/200 g bw (p < 0.05)."
