"ABSTRAKNyeri akut merupakan masalah utama yang dialami pasien post hemoroidektomi yang terpasang tampon. Penatalaksanaan nyeri yang tepat diperlukan untuk mengurangi respon nyeri. Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh kompres dingin di tengkuk pada pasien post hemoroidektomi yang terpasang tampon. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan quasi experiment dengan non-equivalent pretest-post tes with control group, pengambilan sampel menggunakan concecutive sampling. Jumlah sampel yaitu 32 responden (16 orang kelompok intervensi dan 16 orang kelompok kontrol). Nyeri diukur dengan numeric rating scale (NRS). Uji statistik menggunakan uji nonparametrik wilcoxon test. Hasilnya adalah ada pengaruh signifikan kompres dingin di leher belakang terhadap penurunan nyeri pasien post hemoroidektomi yang terpasang tampon (p value=0,0001; alpha=0,05). Hasil penelitian ini dapat direkomendasikan untuk diterapkan sebagai upaya mengurangi nyeri post hemoroidektomi yang terpasang tampon.

ABSTRACTPost haemorrhoidectomy patients who are applied tamponade dressing will have major problem of acute pain. Appropriate pain management was needed to reduce the pain response. The aim of this research was to know the effect of cold compress on the back of the neck in after surgery haemorrhoidectomy patient with tamponade dressing. The design of this study used quasi experiment with nonequivalent pretest-post test with control group, sampling used concecutive sampling. Total of sample were 32 respondents (16 intervention and 16 control group). Pain was measured by numeric rating scale (NRS). Statistical test used nonparametric test of wilcoxon. The result showed that there was a significant effect of cold compress on the back of neck to reduction of after surgery haemorrhoidectomy patients with tamponade pain (p value = 0.0001; α=0.05). This study can be recommended as an intervention to reduce pain post haemorrhoidectomy tamponade dressing."
