"This article is intended to inform a real description related to the religious expression and activity of engineering student
in Japan. Information is collected by direct interaction with the students, and also by visiting religious sites around the
campus. Visit to the student apartments is also carried out to obtain information regarding religious activity that is held
in daily life. It is found from the observation that religious activities such as reading a holy book and praying is not
carried out anymore. Praying is done three times a year, namely at Bon ceremony, which is ceremony to respect the

"Sindrom ovarium polikistik (SOPK) merupakan gangguan reproduksi yang disebabkan oleh berbagai faktor endokrin dan metabolisme. Penderita SOPK merupakan wanita usia reproduktif (8—10%) disertai dengan kondisi obesitas (50—80%; IMT≥25). Meski etiologi SOPK belum sepenuhnya diketahui, namun kelainan endokrin seperti abnormalitas rasio kadar LH (luteinizing hormone) dan FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) merupakan penyebab utama terjadinya SOPK. Gen KISS1, TAC3, dan PDYN, diketahui dapat memengaruhi pulsatilitas GnRH (gonadotropin releasing hormone) yang meregulasi sekresi LH dan FSH. Gangguan ekspresi pada ketiga gen ini akan menyebabkan gangguan pada sistem endokrin yang mengarah pada SOPK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ekspresi mRNA gen KISS1, TAC3, dan PDYN pada wanita SOPK dan non-SOPK dengan obesitas dan non-obesitas. Penelitian dilakukan pada masing-masing 10 sampel darah perifer yang dibagi ke dalam empat kelompok, yaitu non-SOPK non-obesitas, SOPK non-obesitas, non-SOPK obesitas, dan SOPK obesitas. Ekspresi mRNA dianalisis menggunakan teknik quantitative real time PCR (qPCR) dan dikuantifikasi secara relatif menggunakan metode Livak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ekspresi mRNA gen KISS1 dan TAC3 ditemukan lebih tinggi pada wanita SOPK dibandingkan wanita non-SOPK dengan obesitas maupun non-obesitas, sedangkan ekspresi mRNA gen PDYN lebih rendah pada wanita SOPK dibandingkan wanita non-SOPK dengan obesitas maupun non-obesitas. Namun, berdasarkan hasil uji statistik, tidak seluruh pasangan kelompok memiliki perbedaan ekspresi yang signifikan. Meski begitu, hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ekspresi mRNA gen KISS1, TAC3, dan PDYN pada darah perifer terkait dengan SOPK dan obesitas.

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a reproductive disorder caused by complex endocrine and metabolic factors. This syndrome occurs in reproductive age women (8—10%) with obesity (50—80%; BMI≥25). Although its etiology is not fully understood, endocrine disorders such as ratio abnormality of LH (luteinizing hormone) and FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) is the main causes of PCOS. KISS1, TAC3, and PDYN gene expression are known to affect the pulsatility of GnRH (gonadotropin releasing hormone) which regulates LH and FSH secretion. Abnormality of these gene expressions will cause endocrine disruption that leads to PCOS. This study aimed to determine KISS1, TAC3, and PDYN mRNA gene expression levels in PCOS and non-PCOS with obese and non-obese women. The study was conducted on each of 10 peripheral blood samples divided into four group, non-PCOS non-obese, non-PCOS obese, PCOS non-obese, and PCOS obese. The mRNA expression was analyzed using quantitative real time PCR (qPCR) with Livak relative quantification method. This study found that both KISS1 and TAC3 mRNA gene expressions were higher in PCOS than non-PCOS in both obese and non-obese women, while PDYN mRNA gene expression was lower in PCOS than non-PCOS in both obese and non-obese women. However, not all pair of groups had statistically significant differences. Nevertheless, the result of this study suggests that KISS1, TAC3, and PDYN mRNA gene expressions in peripheral blood are related with PCOS and obesity."

"Penggunaan aplikasi TikTok semakin merajalela di Indonesia. TikTok menciptakan platform yang dinamis untuk berbagi konten singkat dan kreatif. Fenomena ini mengundang perhatian terhadap bagaimana beberapa pengguna di Indonesia berekspresi ataupun menyampaikan pemikirannya sebagai orang Cina-Indonesia (Cindo) atau kelompok etnis Tionghoa melalui medium ini. Dalam sejarahnya, orang Cindo pernah mengalami diskriminasi. Berakhirnya era Orde Baru dan dengan ditetapkannya kebijakan-kebijakan politik yang lebih inklusif pada era Reformasi membuat orang Cindo menjadi lebih bebas dalam berekspresi, terutama untuk maksud memperkenalkan budayanya. Dalam artikel tugas akhir ini, penulis meninjau orang Cindo di TikTok menggunakan metode kualitatif berbasis budaya. Temuan utama yang dapat diungkap di antaranya adalah terdapat berbagai macam cara berekspresi, yaitu melalui konten pengetahuan, jawaban atas stereotip yang tertanam, dan keluhan. Melalui konten-konten ini, orang Cindo mengungkapkan keinginan mereka untuk diakui sebagai bagian dari bangsa Indonesia tanpa dibedakan berdasarkan penampilan atau aspek luar lainnya.

The use of the TikTok application is increasingly widespread in Indonesia. TikTok creates a dynamic platform for sharing short and creative content. This phenomenon draws attention to how some users in Indonesia express themselves or convey their thoughts as Chinese-Indonesians (Cindo) or ethnic Chinese through this medium. Historically, Cindo people have experienced discrimination. The end of the New Order era and the implementation of more inclusive political policies in the Reform era have allowed Cindo people greater freedom to express themselves, particularly to introduce their culture. In this thesis article, the author examines Cindo people on TikTok using a qualitative, culture-based method. The main findings reveal various ways of expression, including through educational content, responses to ingrained stereotypes, and complaints. Through these contents, Cindo people express their desire to be recognized as part of the Indonesian nation without being differentiated based on appearance or other external aspects."

"Gen EHMT2 dapat meregulasi metilasi protein histon yang berdampak pada disregulasi epigenetik dan terganggunya proses transkripsi. Hal tersebut dapat menjadi faktor yang memengaruhi metastasis tumor pada kanker paru. Salah satu inhibitor spesifik yang dapat digunakan untuk menghambat aktivitas dan menurunkan ekspresi gen EHMT2 adalah BIX01294. Sejauh ini, konsentrasi inhibitor BIX01294 yang digunakan untuk penelitian ekspresi gen EHMT2 pada kanker paru berkisar pada 2–10 μM. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan penelitian lanjutan terkait efektivitas inhibitor BIX01294 untuk menurunkan ekspresi gen EHMT2 dengan konsentrasi >10 μM. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas dari inhibitor BIX01294 dalam menurunkan ekspresi gen EHMT2 pada sel kanker paru A549 melalui empat konsentrasi inhibitor yang berbeda, yakni 12,5 μM, 15 μM, 17,5 μM, dan 20 μM. Metode yang digunakan adalah RT-qPCR. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa inhibitor BIX01294 dapat memengaruhi konfluensi dan viabilitas sel kanker paru A549. Sampel sel kanker paru A549 yang tidak diberi perlakuan dengan inhibitor BIX01294 memiliki konfluensi sel dan nilai viabilitas yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan sampel seri inhibitor BIX01294. Selain itu, inhibitor BIX01294 juga dapat menurunkan ekspresi gen EHMT2 sel kanker paru A549 secara dose - dependant . Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa inhibitor BIX01294 dengan konsentrasi 12,5 μM; 15 μM; 17,5 μM; dan 20 μM dapat menurunkan ekspresi gen EHMT2 dan viabilitas pada sel kanker paru A549 secara dose-dependant.

The EHMT2 gene has the ability to control the methylation of histone proteins, which can lead to disruptions in epigenetic regulation and the transcription process. This can be a factor influencing tumor metastasis in lung cancer. A specific EHMT2 gene inhibitor, BIX01294, has been identified as an effective agent in inhibiting the activity of the EHMT2 gene. Previous research on lung cancer used BIX01294 concentrations between 2–10 μM. As a result, additional studies are needed to evaluate the efficacy of the BIX01294 inhibitor in reducing EHMT2 gene expression at concentrations greater than 10 μM. The objective of this study is to evaluate the potency of the BIX01294 inhibitor in reducing EHMT2 gene expression within A549 lung cancer cells at four different concentrations: 12.5 μM, 15 μM, 17.5 μM, and 20 μM. The method used in this study is RT-qPCR. The study’s findings reveal that the BIX01294 inhibitor can impact the confluence and viability of A549 lung cancer cells. The A549 lung cancer cell samples that were not subjected to the BIX01294 inhibitor exhibited higher cell confluence and viability values compared to those that were treated with the inhibitor. Furthermore, the BIX01294 inhibitor can also decrease the expression of the EHMT2 gene in A549 lung cancer cells in a dose-dependent manner. Therefore, it can be concluded that the BIX01294 inhibitor, at concentrations of 12.5 μM, 15 μM, 17.5 μM, and 20 μM, demonstrates a dose-dependent reduction in EHMT2 gene expression and the viability of A549 lung cancer cells."

"Selama ini, kematian dianggap sebagai akhir dari pemenuhan utilitas yang ingin dicapai selama hidup. Meskipun demikian, teori yang dipaparkan oleh Azzi dan Ehrenberg (1975) justru menyatakan adanya kepercayaan akan kehidupan setelah kematian mau tidak mau membuat manusia harus mempertimbangkan utilitas yang ingin dicapai kelak. Sedekah dan partisipasi dalam kegiatan keagamaan, dianggap sebagai investasi yang dapat memberikan jaminan terhadap pencapaian utilitas pada kehidupan setelah kematian. Penelitian ini menemukan adanya hubungan substitusi antara sedekah dan partisipasi serta pengaruh positif dari tingkat keimanan seseorang terhadap sedekah dan partisipasi tersebut. Selain itu, ditemukan pula bahwa peningkatan usia akan meningkatkan sedekah dan partisipasi yang dilakukan seseorang.

People tend to think that death is the end of their pursuit to maximization of utility. Instead, Azzi and Ehrenberg?s theory of lifecycle consumption (1975) said that afterlife belief give another perspective for us, to considering about the afterlife utility. Religious giving and participation in a religious activity, considered as investment for a guarantee of a better afterlife utility. This study find a substitute relation between religious giving and participation. Also, the religious giving and participation have a positive and significant impact for every additional age and increasing in belief.

"Growth differentiation factor 9 (GDF9) dan bone morphogenetic protein 15 (BMP15) merupakan growth factor yang disekresikan oosit yang berperan penting dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan awal folikel serta pematangan oosit. Keberadaan protein GDF9 dan BMP15 tidak hanya terdapat pada oosit, tetapi juga pada sel granulosa. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui ekspresi gen GDF9 dan BMP15 pada sel granulosa manusia. Sel granulosa yang diteliti berasal dari 30 pasien yang menjalani fertilisasi in vitro (FIV). Hasil isolasi RNA dari sel granulosa diubah menjadi cDNA melalui reaksi reverse transcription, lalu ekspresi gen GDF9 dan BMP15 diukur dengan QRT-PCR. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar sampel tidak mengekspresikan gen GDF9 dan BMP15. Beberapa sampel yang menunjukkan ekspresi gen GDF9 dan BMP15 pada sel granulosa memiliki tingkat ekspresi yang bervariasi pada tiap sampel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gen GDF9 lebih banyak diekspresikan pada sel granulosa manusia dibandingkan gen BMP15.

Growth differentiation factor 9 (GDF9) and bone morphogenetic protein 15 (BMP15) are oocyte-derived growth factors that have important role to improve early follicle growth and oocyte maturity. Localization of GDF9 and BMP15 protein are not only in oocyte, but also in granulosa cells. Purpose of the research is to find out expression level of GDF9 and BMP15 genes in human granulosa cells. Granulosa cells were collected from 30 patients undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment. Total RNA was isolated from the cells and reverse transcribed to cDNA via reverse transcription reaction, and then GDF9 and BMP15 genes expression were quantified using QRT-PCR. Result of this research is granulosa samples majority did not expressed GDF9 and BMP15 genes. Only several samples shown GDF9 and BMP15 genes expression which have vary expression level in each sample. Based on the result, GDF9 gene more expressed in human granulosa cells than BMP15 gene."

"Indonesia memiliki banyak vairasi destinasi pariwisata halal, namun masih banyak masyarakat Indonesia yang kurang mengetahui informasi terkait dengan pariwisata halal tersebut. Salah satu destinasi wisata halal yang terkenal di Indonesia adalah Pulau Lombok. Lombok telah meraih beberapa penghargaan untuk beberapa kategori dalam ajang World Halal Travel Award (WHAT) di Abu Dhabi, UEA. Oleh karena itu, Lombok ditetapkan sebagai daerah pengamatan dalam penelitian ini.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengumpulkan kerangka teoritis terhadap pemahaman wisata halal yang memiliki keterkaitan dengan paradigm pariwisata modern. Pengambilan sampel penelitian sebanyak 259 sampel dan melakukan analisis pengolahan data menggunakan Structural Equation Modeling (SEM).
Hasil penelitian dalam penelitian menemukan bahwa dimensi perceived value memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap customer satisfaction. Namun untuk dimensi Islamic value tidak ada yang memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap customer satisfaction. Selain itu, temuan dalam penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa hanya terdapat satu dimensi dari Islamic Value yang berpengaruh terhadap customer satisfaction yang dimoderasi oleh Islamic Religiosity.

Indonesia has various halal tourism destinations, yet, there are many Indonesians who do not acknowledge the details or even the surface information regarding the tourism destinations. One of the popular halal tourism destinations in Indonesia is Lombok Island. Lombok has been awarded for several categories in World Halal Travel Award (WHTA) at Abu Dhabi, UEA. Therefore, Lombok is set as an observation area in this research.
This research is aimed to collect the theoritical framework on halal tourism understanding which has relation with modern tourism paradigm. This research uses 259 samples and utilize Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) as its methodology in doing the analysis.
The result shows us that preceived value dimension has a significant effect on customer satisfaction. On the other hand, there is no part of Islamic value dimension which affect customer satisfaction but Islamic religiosity.

"Disertasi ini mendiskusikan gejala sosial kembalinya kebaya sebagai busana nasional setelah mengalami masa ‘kehilangan’ seusai reformasi tahun 1998 akibat terjadinya perubahan struktur sosial politik bersamaan dengan keruntuhan Orde Baru. Struktur sosial politik berperan penting dalam perjalanan eksistensi kebaya sehingga ketika negara tidak hadir dalam pemosisian kebaya, maka para aktor yang berasal dari masyarakat mengambil alih peran ini. Salah satu aktor-aktor ini adalah perancang mode yang merancang kebaya berdasarkan selera pasar dan cenderung tidak mematuhi pakem. Di tengah kondisi ini, muncul para perempuan yang mendirikan komunitas kebaya dengan visi mengembalikan kebaya sebagai busana nasional dan mengenalkannya kembali ke masyarakat.  Penelitian ini dilakukan di Jakarta dan sekitarnya. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan metode observasi partisipasi, wawancara mendalam, dan kajian pustaka. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kembalinya kebaya dalam masyarakat modern saat ini dilatarbelakangi perubahan sosial politik pasca reformasi di Indonesia dan peran para aktor yang mengubah bentuk dan fungsi kebaya. Aksi para perempuan dalam proses retradisionalisasi kebaya mengatasnamakan nasionalisme namun tidak semua memiliki visi yang sama karena kebaya juga menjadi media mengekspresikan diri para perempuan dari komunitas kebaya.  

This dissertation is discussing about social symptoms of the reappearance of kebaya as national dress, temporarily ‘disappeared’ after reformation era in 1998, due to social and politic structural changes, along with the collapse of the New Order era. The social and political structures play an important role in the journey of kebaya existence, when there is non-existence of government’s presence in positioning of kebaya, all artists that came from society, take over this role. These artists are fashion designers, they design kebaya based on market taste and they tend not to comply with the standard. In this condition, a group of women established a kebaya community with the vision to restore kebaya as a national dress and re-introduce it to the society.  This research is conducted in Jakarta and surrounding sites. The data is collected based on participated observation method, and literature review. This research shows that the re-appearance of kebaya in modern society this time is motivated by social and political changes post reformation in Indonesia, and the roles of the artists that transform the shape and function of kebaya. The action of women in the process of kebaya retraditionalization on behalf of nationalism, but not all of them have a same vision, because kebaya is also becomes a media to self expression to those women from kebaya community."

"ABSTRAK
Inisiatif pertumbuhan diri merupakan keterampilan individu dalam mencari kesempatan untuk tumbuh growth sebagai pribadi. Penelitian ini mengkaji peran keyakinan agama dalam menentukan inisiatif pertumbuhan diri. Keyakinan agama umumnya diteliti melalui religiusitas, sementara dalam Al-Qur rsquo;an cukup banyak ayat yang mendorong agar manusia bertindak progresif memperbaiki kehidupan, yang sejauh ini belum cukup dikaji dalam psikologi. Apakah orang yang meyakini nilai-nilai Islam yang mendorong kemajuan akan lebih baik dalam inisiatif pertumbuhan diri? Pertanyaan ini dijawab melalui religiusitas dan keyakinan pada nilai-nilai Islam progresif dengan meneliti pengaruhnya terhadap inisiatif pertumbuhan diri. Religiusitas merupakan keyakinan kepada Tuhan, praktek ibadah, dan pengalaman religius, sementara keyakinan pada nilai Islam progresif adalah keyakinan akan pentingnya berpikir logis, memperbaiki diri, bekerja keras, dan meyakini kemampuan diri. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap 769 mahasiswa di Jakarta dan Padang, dengan alat ukur berupa skala inisiatif pertumbuhan diri dari Robitschek et.al. 2009, 2012 , skala religiusitas dan skala nilai Islam progresif yang dibuat sendiri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, ldquo;religiusitas bersama-sama dengan keyakinan pada nilai Islam progresif berpengaruh terhadap inisiatif pertumbuhan diri rdquo;. Artinya, orang dengan keyakinan Islam yang memiliki kecenderungan aktif memperbaiki diri adalah orang yang cenderung religius dan mempedomani nilai-nilai Islam yang mendorong untuk berpikir logis, aktif memperbaiki diri, bekerja keras, dan meyakini kemampuan diri.

ABSTRACT
Personal growth initiative is an individual skill of seeking opportunities to grow as a person. This study examines the role of religious belief in determining personal growth initiatives. Religious beliefs is generally examined through religiosity, while in the Al Qur 39 an a quite number of verses encourage people to progressively improve their lives, which so far have not been adequately studied in psychology. Do people who believe in Islamic values that promote development will be better at personal growth initiative This question is answered through religiosity and belief in progressive Islamic values by examining its influence on personal growth initiative. Religiosity is a belief in God, a practice of worship, and religious experience, while belief in progressive Islamic values is a belief in the importance of logical thinking, self improvement, hard work, and self confidence. The study was conducted on 769 students in Jakarta and Padang. The personal growth initiative was measured by personal growth initiative scale PGIS II Robitschek et.al., 2009, 2012 . New measures were developed to assess religiosity and progressive Islamic values. The results is religiosity and belief in progressive Islamic values both have a positive influence on personal growth initiative . It means, the people with Islamic beliefs that have active tendency to improve themselves are people who tend to be religious and promote Islamic values that encourage to think logically, actively improve themselves, work hard, and confidence to their self ability."
