"The objective of this research is to describe (1) the concept of nation's character education; 2) resources and scope of nation's character education; 3) efforts for nation's character building at school; and 4) method of nation's character building at school and family. The method of this study used library research. Based on the result of the study, it may be concluded that: 1) nation's character education is a system to build character values at school community involving components of knowledge, awereness or willingness, and action to perform those values, either to the Almaighty God, self, other human beigs, environment, or country so that the students will be a holistic human beings. 2) resources for nation's character education include values contained in Pancasila and norms of Indonesian Constitution from 1945; While scope of nation's character education involves: objectives that describe the equality of intended character, the most effective material to acheve the objectives, effective instructional goals; 3) Nation's character education at the school can be performed through the habituation of good attitude and behaviour from early childhood and to be continued persistenty and sustainably pursuant to the level of development of learners and their environment condition. Nation character education should be performed continously and involve student's parents and community; and 4) the method to build nation's character use behavior control. Lower grade students need more time to behavior control than higher grade students. "

"Abstrak
Using Community Organizing Participatory Action Research (COPAR) as the main framework for the multiple data-gathering methods utilizedin the study, the researcher addressed the following objectives: (1) to assessthe educational needs of the Lumad and peasant communities in light of theimplementation of Republic Act 10533, and (2) to developa curriculum that addresses the needs of the Lumad and peasant communitiesconsidering the learning competencies stipulated by RA 10533. Freires methodof education was maximized as participants in the research included men, women,and children who learned toassess their role in their community as agents of change with the goal ofachieving social transformation through education. Still adhering to Freires method of education, the intended curriculum that was designed is simple andeasy to understand, integrative, and perceptive of the social realitiessurrounding the Lumads and other peasant learners. From the state approvedcurriculum, the new alternative curriculum ensured the presence of lessons andactivities with a positive influence on all the aspects of a childs development: physical, emotional, social, linguistic, aesthetic, and cognitivethrough the application of the outcomes-based education (OBE) framework. Curriculumdesign also utilized the Makabayan (nationalist), Makamasa (mass-oriented), andSiyentipiko (scientific) (MMS) orientation, which is based on rooted assessmentof the needs of the community learners. The integration of OBE with MMSframework is expected to result in transformative education that can producelifelong learners who will aspire to be part of national development whilepromoting their identity and the good of their communities. The researchprocess undertaken proved that community immersion provides an opportunity forself reflexivity that can result in a more inclusive curriculum design. Lastly it can be concluded that community organizing in education is a painstaking andendless process of collaborations, which, if purposeful and sustained, canpositively impact the communities."

"Skripsi ini membahas mengenai analisis peran budaya sekolah dalam mendukung prestasi belajar siswa di SMA Swasta Sugar Group, Lampung. Tujuan penelitian ini, yaitu untuk menggambarkan dan menganalisis peran budaya sekolah di SMA Sugar Group sebagai pendukung prestasi belajar siswa. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga melihat aspek-aspek di luar budaya sekolah yang menunjang prestasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif agar didapatkan kedalaman data terhadap topik mengenai peran budaya sekolah dalam mendukung prestasi belajar siswa.
Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa budaya sekolah di SMA Sugar Group, yaitu private study time (PST) dan budaya berbahasa Inggris memang mendukung prestasi belajar siswa. Namun, kedua budaya sekolah tersebut memiliki daya dukung yang lemah terhadap prestasi belajar siswa. Hal tersebut terlihat dari ketidakstabilan nilai yang diperoleh para siswa. Aspek-aspek lain yang mewarnai perolehan prestasi belajar siswa, yaitu tingkat penghasilan dan pola asuh orangtua.

The focus of this study is explaining an analysis the role of school culture in supporting the student's achievement, case study in Private Senior High School of Sugar Group Lampung. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the role of school culture in Senior High School of Sugar Group as a supporting factor of student's study achievement. This research is according to qualitative method so the researcher will get comprehensive data about the role of school culture as a supporting factor of student's study achievement.
The results of this research show that Private Study Time (PST) and English usage for daily activities are culture that supporting student's achievement in Private Senior High School of Sugar Group. Beside both of that, the other school culture gives weak supporting only. This fact was seen by unstable mark of the students. The other aspects which affect the student's achievement are the grate of parent's income and their parenting style.

"Beberapa hal mendorong pemerintah Indonesia meratifikasi hak anak dan membuat undang-undang perlindungan anak merupakan perhatian pemerintah untuk memperhatikan anak sebagai sumber daya manusia dalam pembangunan di masa mendatang. Pelanggaran banyak terjadi terhadap hak anak, perhatian pemerintah sangat diperlukan dalam pemenuhan Hak Asasi Manusia terhadap hak pendidikan anak di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Anak Pria dan Wanita Tangerang. Perwujudan pemenuhan hak pendidikan di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Anak Pria dan Wanita Tangerang dibutuhkan untuk menunjang pemberdayaan sumber daya manusia di masa mendatang sebagai pilar pembangunan dan kehidupan. Substansi yang dijabarkan meliputi definisi anak dalam berbagai peraturan perundang-undangan nasional maupun internasional sangat beragam diantaranya menurut Konvensi Hak Anak, setiap manusia yang berusia di bawah 18 tahun kecuali diatur lain yang yang berlaku bagi anak ditentukan bahwa usia dewasa dicapai lebih awal. Dalam Undang-undang No. 4 Tahun 1979 tentang Kesejahteraan Anak diatur bahwa Anak adalah seseorang yang belum mencapai umur 21 tahun dan belum kawin. Penetapan usia anak bila dirilis dasar peraturan perundang-undangan yang berlaku berusia di bawah 18 tahun. Pembahasan dengan substansi kelembagaan dan penerapan Hak Asasi Manusia di lingkupnya keterpengaruhan tingkat sumber daya manusia aparatnya atas konsisten terhadap tugas pokok dan fungsi dan tanggung jawab dalam pelaksanaan tugas. Pokok bahasan yang dianalisis penerapan hak anak pada pemenuhan hak pendidikan dan sarana prasarana pendukung serta keterkaitan dalam membangun jejaring kerja di antara pihak terkait yang dapat merespon terhadap pemenuhan hak pendidikan untuk anak didik pemasyarakatan anak pada Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Anak Pria dan Wanita Tangerang.
Pengertian sistem pemasyarakatan dalam instrumen nasional tentang reaksi negara terhadap anak yang telah divonis melanggar hukum oleh pengadilan. Instrumen internasional tentang perlakuan terhadap tahanan dan narapidana dalam peraturanperaturan standar minimum Perserikatan Bangsa Bangsa (PBB) yang diberlakukan terhadap narapidana. Resolusi 663 C (XXIV)/1957 dan resolusi 2076/1977 meskipun dalam sistem perundang-undangan tentang penghukuman dalam sistem peradilan Indonesia tidak diatur secara memantau perihal perlakuan minimal yang diberikan oleh negara. Sistem pemasyarakatan maupun perolehan standar minimum bagi perlakuan terhadap narapidana menganut filosofi penghukuman yang diwarnai pendekatan rehabilitasi, yaitu pendekatan yang diberikan bahwa anak didik sebagai pesakitan dan karenanya harus disembuhkan untuk pembahasan hidup sebagai manusia normal pada umumnya.
Pemenuhan hak pendidikan memberikan kebebasan penuh kepada individu untuk berkembang, dengan diarahkan melalui pengajaran sesuai kurikulum, sebagai acuan pendidikan dasar. Dengan pendidikan untuk mengaktualisasi diri atau belajar untuk memberikan wawasan dan semua individu berhak untuk mengembangkan diri dan tidak terbatasi oleh apa dan siapapun.
Mengambil istilah tujuan pendidikan merupakan pembentukan manusia Indonesia seutuhnya yang diwarnai oleh sila-sila Pancasila tujuan mengoperasionalkan manusia Indonesia seutuhnya dari wujud sila-sila Pancasila dalam arti peserta didik secara detail dengan ditanamkan melalui proses pembelajaran.
Dalam penerapan hak pendidikan untuk anak didik di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Anak Pria dan Wanita Tangerang yang direspon pemenuhannya terhadap peserta anak didik laki-laki dan anak didik wanita minimal pendidikan dasar. Untuk mencapai tujuan pemenuhan hak pendidikan tersebut melalui metode pembelajaran dan teknik pendidikan/keguruan yang sesuai dengan perkembangan psikologisnya.
Penyampaian materi yang dipeiajari membutuhkan teknik tertentu yang dipengaruhi beberapa faktor termasuk fasilitas pendidikan mencakup iklim dari lingkungan belajar, alat dan media belajar, organisasi materi/bahan ajar serta cara membimbing anak didik. Semuanya itu membutuhkan variasi sesuai materi yang dipelajari dan arah pendidikan pada Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Anak Tangerang.

The efforts of Government of Indonesia to ratify the rights of child and draft law of children protection as an intention of government focus on child as human resource in the future. Violations often occur against the rights of child, government's concern has to be needed in human rights fulfillment of against rights to education for child on Boys Correctional Service and Girls Correctional Service at Tangerang. It is 'very important to require in order empowering of human resources in the future as a basis of development and life. The substance that analyzed includes child definition in the national and international constitutions such as Convention on Rights of Child stated that child means every human being below the age of eighteen years unless under the law applicable to the child, majority is attained earlier. On law number 4 year 1979 of Children Welfare regulated that child are someone's not reached age 21 years old and not married yei. Determination of child age could be based on legislation less than 18 years old. Analyzing with institutional substance and implementation of human rights circumstances of influencing of the level of human rights officer upon their consistency to main duty, function and responsibility in implementation of duties. The main study that analyzed is implementation the rights of child to fulfill the right to education and additional facilities that connecting network between other related institution in order to response of fulfillment the right to education for the juvenile in Boys Correctional Service and Girls Correctional Service in Tangerang.
Correctional systems in Indonesia not regulate of minimum treatment for prisoner which given by the state, but incline to punishment philosophy which using rehabilitation approach. These approach gives to the juvenile as medical.
treatment/therapy for who had ill until they can live normally. In the international instrument also regulated minimum standard legislation of United Nations on resolution number 663 C (XXIV)/1957 and resolution number 2076/1977 of the treatment to the prisoner.
In implementation of right to education for juvenile in the correctional service in Tangerang still minimum, boys and girls only could access basic education. In order to fulfill their rights through by teaching methods and learning technique based on psychology development.
Delivering material that learned need special technique that affected several factors includes education facility, media tool, teaching material and teaching methods. All of them require variation based on material that leaned and education direction to the juvenile correctional service in Tangerang.
