"Today insurance industry has now developed and get much attention by the public in line with the necessity to protect themselves and their property. As one of good reputation insurance company PT.BNI Life Insurance in expanding its business unit by establish a syariah division, which offering present product that had a place at public?s heart, namely Blife Investlink Syariah a unitlink insurance product. A promotion is one of the most effective strategy to sell company?s products, such as sales representative which presenting company?s product directly to customer while sales volume is measurable. As Rossiter proposed, the promotion were designed to stimulates direct purchase and to encourage the sales to go up rapidly and faster compares to avoid promotion ways. Promotion commingle had been conducted by PT.BNI Life Insurance during period of July 2007 to May 2008 for their product of Blife Invest link Syariah includes printing advertising media, personal selling, sales promotions, publicity, and sponsorship. PT.BNI Life Insurance has spent more cost in taking promotion to its products and demonstrate any influence to sales volume, namely based on linear regression calculation and in-depth interview result has shown that more costly promotion to spent, thus more sales volume to be achieved. Promotion commingle has many influence to towards sales volume improvements. "Banking industry has developed well nowadays. There are many banks involved, not only public and private sectors but also investors from foreign countries are welcomed. Compenies have to developed different or unique strategy to exist in global market. Promotion is one way that can be done, because promotion is believed can increase number of selling in a short ? term by giving free sample or incentive to attract consumers interest. PT. Bank DKI held exhibition and ?Undian Berhadiah? as a means to promote their product to the consumer. PT. Bank DKI as a Regional Development Bank (Bank Pembangunan Daerah), always try to maintain their success by maintaining and improving the existance of Tabungan Monas. It can be seen from the portofolio of Tabungan Monas per December 2007 which shows Rp.450 billion or increased 100.89 % compare to previous years. This research tries to analize customer?s perception to sales promotion of Tabungan Monas PT. Bank DKI. This research is a descriptive study which 100 consumers of Tabungan Monas KCU Juanda PT. Bank DKI involved as respondents classified from males or females above 20 years old. Consumers interest in attending exhibition is quite strong promising. It keeps Bank DKI to participate in exhibition to socialize and promote their products.
However, information regarding time and venue of the exhibition had to be paid attention of. Mass media could be used to promote the program. A program Undian berhadiah is proven to give impact in creating customer?s positive perception with Tabungan Monas. Interesting prizes to transparency in drawing proceess has been proved to put consumer trust to big opportunity to win the offered prize. The success of two sales promotion programs make Bank DKI to keep up to date to hold other kind of promotion. Through kinds of creative and innovative sales promotion, Bank DKI can maintain and attract more consumer to their Tabungan Monas.

"Perusahaan asuransi merupakan lembaga jasa keuangan yang berbasis kepercayaan, yang memiliki peran sebagai pelindung keuangan maupun berkontribusi terhadap perekonomian suatu negara. Dalam beberapa tahun terakhir, beberapa perusahaan asuransi di Indonesia menghadapi permasalahan karena gagal membayar klaim asuransi. Berita gagal bayar tersebut telah tersebar di berbagai media massa baik cetak maupun elektronik dan membuat banyak masyarakat memberikan stigma negatif terkait industri asuransi di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh financial distress terhadap berita negatif pada perusahaan asuransi di Indonesia. Penelitian ini juga melakukan pengujian terhadap faktor lain yang berpotensi mempengaruhi berita negatif yaitu rasio likuiditas dan ukuran perusahaan. Metode analisis mengunakan uji regresi data panel dengan pendekatan Fix Effect Model. Penelitian menggunakan sample 120 perusahaan asuransi konvensional yang berizin di OJK per 31 Desember 2021. Penelitian menggunakan data selama 5 tahun (2017 – 2021). Variabel berita negatif diperoleh dengan menghitung jumlah berita negatif terkait perusahaan asuransi di 12 media online di Indonesia, sementara variabel financial distress diukur berdasarkan rasio kesehatan keuangan yang telah diatur oleh OJK yaitu solvabilitas (RBC), rasio kecukupan investasi, dan ekuitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa financial distress berpengaruh signifikan terhadap berita negatif. Rasio likuiditas dan ukuran perusahaan tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap berita negatif perusahaan asuransi.

Insurance companies are trust-based financial service institutions that serve as financial protectors and contribute to a country's economy. In recent years, several Indonesian insurance companies have faced problems due to their failure to pay insurance claims. News of the failure to pay has spread in various mass media, both print and electronic, and given many people a negative stigma regarding the Indonesian insurance industry. This study aims to determine the effect of financial distress and negative news on insurance companies in Indonesia. This study also tests other factors that could potentially influence negative news, namely the liquidity ratio and firm size. The analytical method uses panel data regression with the fix-effect model approach. The research used a sample of 120 samples and data for five years. The negative news variable is obtained by counting the number of negative news stories related to insurance companies in 12 online media outlets in Indonesia, while the financial distress variable is measured based on the ratios of financial soundness regulated by the Regulator (solvency, investment adequacy ratio, and equity). The results show that financial distress has a significant effect on negative news. Liquidity ratio and firm size have no significant effect on negative news."

"The bank?s success in giving loan is related to promotions and service ecexelent which are given to debitors and debitors to be,promotion is something that must be paid attention by banks because its appropriate promotion will give benefits to the bank and debitors valuable assets which can survive and have ability to get benefits in a long term. From existed marketing tools word of mouth is dominated promotion which support marketing such as product and service marketing have high involvement. One of the bank which offers micro business credit is Bank Mandiri which is famous for its Kredit Mikro Mandiri with special cases for debitors to be in PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk Hub Jakarta Pulogadung. Debitor who are satisfied with the product and service given will bring benefits for the bank and they will be loyal debitors and can carry out communication through word of mouth (positively) to other debitors to be.
The objective research of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk Kredit Mikro is to find out how the effect word of mouth spreads to influence the business man submission intention using quantitave approach with literature study and uses research instrument by using questioner which is distributed to 125 business men respondents.
Research with statistic analyze using SPSS for windows 15 in variable word of mouth data analyze consists of 5 dimensions there are Talkers, Topics, Tools, Taking parts, and Tracking and variable intention to buy. Simple regression has been carried out by combining five dimensions becomes variable word of mouth and regression comparing with intention to buy.This research of this result shows that there is high influence of word of mouth on Kredit Mikro Mandiri product towards business men submission intention.

"The main purpose of sales promotion is to attracting customer to buy and use the products or sevices. Sales promotion in term of discount coupon often use by the marketers with assumed the impacts can stimulus customers and finally they really buy the product or services. The purpose of this research is to know consumer perception to the activity of sales promotion in term of discount coupon. Jim Blythe at his book Marketing Communications says that sales promotion is Activities designed to give temporary boost to sales, such as money ? off coupons, free samples, two for the price of one promotion, etc.Its purpose is to create a temporary increase in sales by bringing purchasing decisions forward and adding some immediacy to the decisions making process. Dunia Fantasi (unit of Ancol Jakarta Bay City) is the company based on recreation business that use sales promotion in term of discount coupon as one of their marketing strategy. This research use quantitative approach and descriptive type of research was. Collecting data technique conducted by literature and field research by using questioner as an instrument. The population of this research are the visitors of Dunia Fantasi ? Ancol, who knows the discount coupon promotion program, with minimum age 15 years old that is compatible with segment and target market of Dunia Fantasi. The amount of sample is 95 respondent. The data processed by using statistical measuring instrument SPSS 15.00. Responders characteristic were analyzed by frequency distribution, and to see means and mode of data were analyzed by descriptive statistic frequency.
From the result, known that the consumer perception to the activity of sales promotion in term of discount coupon are good and positive. The indication are Mean and mode result of all indicators are in strong enough category of ordinal spread scale.The writer would suggest to Management of Dunia Fantasi to maintain and develop the sales promotion strategy because it is effectively to raise the visitors. Besides that sales promotion should be integrated to the other media of marketing communication, such as advertising, public relation, etc.

"ABSTRAK
Asuransi Kesehatan merupakan salah satu produk perlindungan asuransi yang memiliki manfaat menggantikan biaya atau kerugian yang sudah dikeluarkan oleh seorang tertanggung karena mengalami sakit. Sebagai kewajiban terhadap perusahaan asuransi, seorang tertanggung harus membayar premi kepada perusahaan asuransi. Penetapan premi asuransi yang wajar dihitung dengan melakukan evaluasi data pengalaman klaim yang sudah terjadi di periode lalu. Tugas utama seorang aktuaris di dalam perusahaan asuransi adalah melakukan perhitungan cadangan klaim (Loss Reserving) dan pembuatan tarif premi (ratemaking). Perhitungan cadangan klaim yang tepat perlu dilakukan sebagai dasar untuk melakukan pembuatan tarif premi. Dalam melakukan estimasi cadangan klaim, seorang aktuaris harus memperhatikan keterlambatan dalam melakukan pembayaran klaim (delay time). Adanya keterlambatan pelaporan dan pembayaran klaim menjadi penyebab utama mengapa perusahaan asuransi perlu menyediakan cadangan klaim IBNR (Incurred But Not Reported) yang memadai untuk memenuhi kewajiban perusahaan asuransi di periode yang akan datang. Beberapa metode yang dapat digunakan untuk melakukan penaksiran cadangan klaim IBNR adalah klasik chain ladder dan metode Bornhuetter ? Ferguson. Cadangan klaim yang terlalu besar akan membuat tarif premi asuransi cenderung mahal sehingga akan susah untuk dijual ke pasar dan dapat menyebabkan profit perusahaan yang diharapkan tidak tercapai. Sedangkan jika jumlah cadangan klaim terlalu kecil dikhawatirkan tidak akan cukup untuk memenuhi kewajiban perusahaan asuransi untuk membayar klaim di periode yang akan datang. Dengan menggunakan metode klasik chain-ladder dan metode Bornhuetter ? Ferguson dapat diperoleh hasil estimasi cadangan klaim IBNR dengan tingkat kewajaran yang lebih baik.

ABSTRACT
Health insurance is one of many insurance products that have benefit to cover the cost of incurred losses by an insured because of an illness. As the liabilities to the insurer, insured must pay the premiums to the company. The determination of a reasonable premium is calculated by evaluating the data of experience claims incurred in previous periods. The main task of an actuary in the insurance company is estimating claims reserves (Loss Reserving) and calculating of premium rates (ratemaking). In order to calculate premium rates, the right method of estimation claims reserves needs to be done. While estimating of claims reserves, an actuary should put consideration the delay time in payment of claims. Due to delay in reporting and payment of claims, is the main reason why insurance companies need to provide a sufficient IBNR reserves to fulfill the obligation of insurance company in the coming period. There are some loss reserving methods insurance companies can use such as classic chain-ladder and Bornhuetter ? Ferguson. If the result estimation of claims reserves is over the realization amount of claims payment then it could be affected to premium, pricing tends to be expensive, and resulted declining in sales performance. Meanwhile, if the number of claims reserves are below than the realization amount of claims payment, feared that insurance companies would not be sufficient to meet the obligations in the coming period. By using the classic chain-ladder and Bornhuetter ? Ferguson method, the result of reserves estimation can be obtained with reasonable levels of IBNR.

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan estimasi cadangan klaim terhadap Program Asuransi Usaha Tani Padi (AUTP) untuk memberikan perlindungan dan pemberdayaan kepada petani usaha tani padi yang berpotensi mengalami gagal panen. Jangka waktu polis Program AUTP terhitung singkat karena periode polis berlaku 4 bulan (musim tanam) dan memperoleh subsidi premi 80% dari pemerintah. Pada penelitian cadangan klaim AUTP periode 2017 – 2021, analisa menggunakan konsep bulanan dan triwulanan pada Run-Off Triangle (ROT) (Bulanan 60x60 dan Triwulanan 20x20) karena memiliki variasi periode Accident Year dan Development Year. Selanjutnya, metode Chain Ladder (CL) merupakan metode yang paling dasar, umum dan sederhana pada asuransai umum mempertimbangkan Age-to-Age Factor (LDF), serta metode Bonrhuetter-Ferguson (BF) menambah pertimbangan Estimated Ultimate Losses (EUL) dari CL dan earned premium. Penelitian memperoleh hasil bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara nilai Estimated Loss Reserve dan EUL pada kedua metode berdasarkan nilai MAD dan RMSE, tidak terdapatnya pembayaran klaim di beberapa periode kejadian dan periode penundaan, serta terdapatnya pembayaran klaim yang baru diselesaikan lebih dari 1 tahun sehingga terdapat perbedaan signifikan pada analisa. Selain itu, program asuransi AUTP merupakan program baru dari pemerintah bagi petani padi, sehingga manfaat program asuransi ini masih dipelajari oleh calon pemegang polis atas manfaat yang akan diterima.

This research aims to estimate the claim reserves the Rice Farmer Business Insurance Program (RFBI) for rice farmers who have the potential to experience crop failure. Therefore, the policy RFBI program period is valid for 4 months (growing season) and with an 80% premium subsidy from the government. The analysis of RFBI claim reserve (2017-2021) used the concept of monthly (60x60) and quarterly (20x20) in the Run-Off Triangle (ROT) because it has variations in period analysis, Chain Ladder (CL) method is the most basic, common, and simple method used in general insurance, as well Bonrhuetter-Ferguson (BF) method adds to the consideration of Estimated Ultimate Losses (EUL) of CL and earned premium. There was no significant difference between the value of estimated loss reserve and EUL in both methods based on MAD and RMSE values, no payment of claims in some periods of events and delay periods, and the existence of new claim payments completed more than 1 year so that there are significant differences in the analysis. In addition, the RFBI is a new program from the government for rice farmers, so the benefits of this insurance program are still studied by prospective policyholders for the benefits to be received."

"Profitability is the most important thing in every company. Every company try to increase their profits as maximum as posible. One factor that company used to increase its profit is to make decision about optimum capital structure. Some theory said about correlation between capital structure and profitability. The more profitable the firm, the lower is the amount of leverage expected to be used by the firm. Capital structure is a combination of equity and debt. Some research shows that company which has small ratio of debt in thei capital structure has a big probability to gain high equity return. Thus, debt to equity ratio was used as indicator of capital structure and return on equity was used as measurement for profitability.
This study was made to know influences of capital structure in relation with return on equity as a proxy of profitability. The study was conducted in PT Bank Mega Tbk, period January 2002 until March 2008, using its annual reports as a population, with monthly reports period January 2002 until March 2008 as samples.
The result of statistic test by using alfa 0.05 concludes that capital structure have a significantly small effect to return on equity at PT Bank Mega Tbk period January 2002 ? March 2008. It means that capital structure in PT Bank Mega Tbk period January 2002 ? March 2008 was a small factor in increasing the equity return.
