For this purpose, there were 2 types of research, developmental and experimental research. Developmental research was to produce the valid and reliable teaching material. "Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan kemampuan komunikasi matematik siswa kelas V sekolah dasar melalui pembelajaran kontekstual. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SDN Karang Yudha sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan SDN Sunyaragi 2 sebagai kelompok kontrol pada tahun akademik 2012-2013. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen kuasi. Desain penelitian Nonequivalent control group. Data diperoleh dari tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan tes kemampuan komunikasi matematik materi luas trapesium dan layang-layang. Analisis data hasil penelitian dilakukan dengan uji-t dengan tingkat signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan komunikasi matematik antar siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran kontekstual dengan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional. Siswa memperlihatkan sikap positif dan menyatakan perasaan senang terhadap pembelajaran kontekstual."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran matematika realistik yang teruji validitas, kepraktisan dan efektivitasnya dalam upaya meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa SMP kelas VII. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model Plomp yang terdiri atas lima taha, yaitu (1) investigasi awal, (2) desain, (3) realisasi, (4) tes, evaluasi, dan revisi, dan (5) implementasi. Subjek coba pada uji perorangan, kelompok kecil dan uji lapangan adalah siswa SMPN 2 Semarapura yang masing-masing berjumlah 3, 12, dan 30 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran tergolong kriteria baik yang telah memenuhi persyaratan validitas dan kepraktisan. Implementasi perangkat pembelajaran matematika realistik juga efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa SMP sebagai subjek coba."

"This experimental study was conducted to investigate students' mathematical communication and problem solving abilities by using problem based learning (PBL). The subjects of this study were 67 student teachers from a State University in Bandung. Instruments of this study were a mathematical communication test and a mathematical problem solving test. The data were analyzed by using one and two path ANOVA, Mann Whitney test and chi square test. The study found that: (1) Students' mathematical communication and problem solving abilities in PBL were higher than those of students of conventional classroom; (2) The advantage of PBL were also supported by the findings that mathematical communication and problem solving abilities students with low initial ability were higher in PBL classroom compared to those of conventional classroom; (3) There was significant correlation between mathematical communication and problem solving abilities; (4) There were no interaction between teaching approaches and prior mathematics ability on student's mathematical communication and problem solving abilities. "

"Saat ini sistem belajar jarak jauh (distance teaming) menjadi salah satu piJihan untuk mendapatkan pendidikan bagi komunitas masyarakat yang hidup mobile. Pada sistem yang ada selama ini, mahasiswa hanya mengakses bahan kuliah dan setiap pertanyaan menyangkut bahan kuliah ditanyakan melalui email. Jadi sistem ini mempunyai masalah dalam bidang keinteraktifan antara dosen dan mahasiswa. Skripsi ini mencoba memberikan satu jalan keluar dengan rnembuat perangkat lunak konferensi video dengan bandwidth adaptation. Perangkat lunak ini memampukan dosen untuk melakukan perkuliahan tanpa harus berada di dalam ruang kuliah. Sistem konferensi video ini memampukan untuk dilaksanakan sistem perkuliahan yang interaktif karena mahasiswa dapat menanyakan kesulitan-kesulitan yang dihadapinya secara langsung kepada dosen saat dosen memberikan kuliah. Perangkat lunak ini juga dilengkapi dengan sistem bandwidth adaptation. Sistem ini memampukan untuk melakukan pengaturan kualitas gambar yang dikirimkan disesuaikan dengan ukuran bandwidth yang tersedia. Sistem bandwidth adaptation ini dapat menjadi salah satu pilihan dalam mengatasi masalah klasik kekurangan bandwidth pada saat melakukan konferensi video. Hasil ujicoba terhadap sistem menunjukkan sistem bandwidth adaptation berjalan dengan baik. Data hasil ujicoba menunjukkan bahwa untuk rentang kualitas gambar 10 - 100 % maka rentang bandwidth yang digunakan oleh sistem sebesar 0,388 - 19,102 Mbit/detik. Selain itu bisa didapatkan bahwa lingkat kualitas gambar mempengaruhi nilai faktor kompresi JPEG yang dihasilkan. Pada percobaan didapatkan rentang nilai faktor kompresi sebesar 0,838- l."

"Synectics Model matched with Mind Maps were applied in the instruction in order to achieve the target. This was an experimental quasi research with pre-test post-test control group design. The sample of the research was the eighth grade students of low and high academic levels in Makassar which was selected using cluster sampling random technique. Research data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistic of anacova. The results of analyses indicate that: (1) there was significance difference with the mean score of creative thinking ability, creative attitude, and mastery of biology materials due to difference of instruction model used, (2) there was no significant difference of mean score of creative think ability, creative attitude, and mastery of biology materials among the students who belong to the high and low academic level, ( 3) there was no interactional effect between the instructional model used with the students academic level towards creative thinking ability, creative attitude, and mastery of biology materials."

"ABSTRACT
Higher education level has such contribution to develop students' understanding and attitude toward environment. In order to do so, a strategy or approach which is applied through an effective teaching model to develop students' awareness on environment is urgently required. Free inquiry Model and Mind Mapping try to create scientific thinking to students and help them develop critical, creative and innovative thinking in order to arise some ideas about the solution for environment problems. CAR is used as the design of the research with aims at finding out more creative and more innovative ways of learning, enhancing learning motivation, seeking the solution of environment problems and to relate the issue with real condition. The research conducted in Biology Study program, Faculty of Teachers Training and Educational Sciences, Pakuan University, 2013-2014 academic year involved the third semester students from class A. Two cycles were conducted during the research and two actions were dealt for each cycle. The findings show that there is an improvement in terms of enthusiasm from 73% in cycle 1 into 84 % in cycle 2. The average score regarding students' understanding about environment pollution is increasingly improved from 69,11 in cycle 1 to 76,56 in cycle 2. It also happens to the students' mastery learning which develops from 66,67% in cycle 1 into 83,33% in cycle 2. Students' ability in solving environment problems in cycle 1 which achieved 69,74 in terms ofd average score and 63,33 % in the area of mastery learning improves in cycle 2 becoming 77,69 and 86,67%."
