"The deliberative systems approach perceives public deliberation as a broad system that encompasses diverse communicative practices and emphasises the connectivity and interdependence of its components, division of deliberative labour and functions, and how crucial components interconnect to enhance the deliberative quality of the system. Drawing on deliberative systems theory and the epistemic approach to democracy, this study investigated the controversies surrounding a development project in the traditional Thao territories of the Sun Moon Lake region, with the objective of exploring epistemic oppression and how citizen action performs functions of deliberative systems and deliberative power. The study shows that the Thao tribe’s narratives and testimonies of their life have not been valued, multiple forms of epistemic oppression, and the decoupling problems that exist between empowered spaces and other components in deliberative systems. To combat epistemic oppression and coercive power and safeguard traditional territories and cultural subjectivity and continuity, the Thao tribespeople and civic society"

Social exclusion toward people with visual impairments in the workplaces related to organizational and institutional setup. Similiar studies about social exclusion and people with visual impairments in the workplaces can be categorized into three substances, namely social discrimination, accessibility issues, and internal factors of persons with disabilities. Social discrimination tend to focus on negative labeling attached to persons with visual impairments. Furthermore, studies related to accessibility tend to explore the physical environment that does not support people wit visual impairments in social mobility. While internal factors tend to explain the low resources and motivation of people with visual impairments. Previous studies have not specifically explained the related stigma, internal company regulation & institutional pressure as part of the social exclusion process for persons with visual disabilities in obtaining their rights at work. This research show that the process of social exclusion toward people with visual impairments in the workplace occurs because of the intersection between stigma, the complexity of the organizational structure, and institutional pressure on the company. This study uses qualitative methods with case studies in companies X and Y, and data collection was done by interviews, observation and documentation."

To be able competing with competitors, companies need employees with high work engagement. In study one, researchers managed to collect 22 responsesfrom the X company employee in QO Department to examine the relationship between variables. Internal supervisor communication was measured by using Karanges dkk (2014) (I± = 0.93), perceived supervisor support was measured by sing Eisenberger dkk (2001) (I± = 0.85), and work engagement was measured by using Schaufelli dkk (2006) (I± = 0.88). The result showed that the relationship coeficient betweeen supervisor internal communication and work engagement is bigger than the relationship coeficient between perceied supervisor support and work engagement. In study 2, researcher designed internal supervisor communication intervention program to increase work engagement for employees of the PT X QO Department. The intervention program was called Communicative Leaders, which consists of two parts: training and monitoring sessions. In its implementation, intervention participants were supervisors that have low internal supervisor communication score based on the perception of their subordinate from study 1. After that, researcher evaluated the intervention result. The results are: (1) there was a significant increase in subordinates perceptions of their supervsors internal supervisor communication (Z = -0.2041, p <0.05), and; (2) there was a significant increase in work engagement (Z = -2,445, p <0.05)."
