"ABSTRAKPenelitian ini membahas mengenai dominasi peran negara dalam era kapitalisme global yang dilihat dari pola aksi-reaksi perilaku kebijakan perdagangan dan nilai tukar mata uang China dan Amerika Serikat selama empat periode tahun. Meskipun tengah berada didalam era kapitalisme global yang menekankan fundamentalisme pasar pada isu kebijakan perdagangan dan nilai tukar mata uang, kecenderungan negara-berdaulat untuk mendominasi isu-isu tersebut masih cukup besar dan kadarnya berubah-ubah dari satu periode waktu ke periode waktu lainnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun perkembangan dinamika relasi dan arah kecenderungannya ikut berpengaruh, secara keseluruhan pola perilaku dominasi peran negara masing-masing pemain cenderung bersifat substitutif dan bergerak menuju sebuah keseimbangan tertentu dimana kedua belah pemain sama-sama mengambil sebuah kebijakan protektif tertentu untuk mengkompensasikan sebuah kebijakan liberal lain yang mengikatnya.

AbstractThis reserach examines the primacy of state?s role in the era of global capitalism, which is seen through the pattern of China and United States?s behavior toward each other, especially on trade and currency policy within four periods of time. Despite of the gravity of global capitalism era emphasizing on the primacy of market?s role, the tendency of the primacy of state?s role has been growing stonger and stronger. This research concludes that while the development of dynamic relations and its tendency matter, overall, the pattern of China and United States?s behavior tend to use subtitutive policy and therefore lead them to the equilibrium position which is characterized by the two players using a protective measure to compensate liberal policy binding them."

"Skripsi ini membahas globalisasi dengan simulacra di dalamnya yang membawa dampak merosotnya intensitas interaksi sosial di tengah masyarakat Jepang. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui sumber sekunder seperti: buku, data statistik, jurnal ilmiah dan berbagai publikasi elektronik. Berdasarkan teori simulacra Baudrillard, terbukti dalam hasil penelitian ini bahwa realitas dimana interaksi sosial telah berkurang adalah benar mendorong terwujudnya simulacra untuk aktif membentuk hyperreality berupa interaksi intim dengan para karakter dua dimensi (kyarakutaa) yang pada akhirnya melahirkan individu-individu yang disebut otaku.

This thesis explain about globalization that contains simulacra which decreases the frequency of social interaction in Japanese society. This research was done using qualitative method and descriptive design while the data collection was taken from secondary sources, such as: books, statistics, scientific journals, and various electronic publications. Refering Baudrillard?s simulacra theory, this research proves that the reduction of social interaction causes simulacra to actively construct a hyperreality in a form of intimate interaction with two dimensional characters (kyarakutaa), which in the end creates unique individuals named otaku."
