"Tanah lanau bepasir merupakan tanah yang memiliki nilai daya dukung rendah yang dapat menyebabkan masalah saat menerima beban yang besar. Cara untuk mengatasi masalah ini dapat dilakukan dengan memberikan preloading di atas tanah tersebut. Namun, hal ini memerlukan biaya dan waktu yang tidak sedikit. Salah satu alternatif lain untuk meningkatkan daya dukung tanah adalah dengan menggunakan cerucuk. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh penggunaan cerucuk terhadap kekuatan tanah. Metode yang digunakan adalah membandingkan penggunaan cerucuk dan tanpa cerucuk.
Percobaan dilakukan di laboratorium dengan uji Triaksial terkonsolidasi takterdrainasi untuk menentukan nilai kekuatan tanah sehingga dapat dibandingkan. Dari hasil percobaan, diperoleh bahwa penggunaan cerucuk meningkatkan nilai kuat geser tanah lunak. Nilai kuat geser cerucuk kayu lebih besar dibandingkan cerucuk bambu. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi masukan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh penggunaan cerucuk untuk meningkatkan kuat geser tanah lunak.
Sandy Silt soil is soil that has a low carrying capacity values that can cause problems when you receive a big load. The way to overcome this problem can be done by giving preloading on the land. However, this requires a fee and not a little time. One of the other alternatives to improve the carrying capacity of soil is to use small pile. This research was conducted to determine how much influence the use of force small pile ground. The method used is to compare the use of small pile and without. Experiments conducted in laboratory testing with Consolidated Undrained Triaxial test to determine the value of shear strength that can be compared. From the experimental results, obtained that the use of small pile increase the value of soft soil shear strength. Wood small pile shear strength values greater than bamboo small pile.This research is expected to be input to determine how much influence the use small pile to improve soft soil shear."
