In the last decade, Depok City has experienced significant growth. Built-up land in cities has an important role in influencing global temperature rise through what is known as the urban heat island effect. The UHI effect is not only a local comfort issue but has a long-term impact on global temperature rise. Higher temperatures in cities can result in increased energy consumption for cooling, reduced air quality, and impacts on human health. Local Climate Zone (LCZ) is a concept that classifies surface morphological characteristics in urban and peri-urban areas. Each LCZ has unique geometry, building materials, and vegetation characteristics that can influence temperature distribution and local climate dynamics. The results found that the morphology of Depok City is dominated by the open low-rise class (LCZ 6) representing residential areas. The characteristics of the land surface temperature of Depok City generally range between 37.5°C – 54°C, in 2023 with the building class temperature being higher than the natural land cover class. The spatial pattern of the UHI phenomenon in Depok City generally occurs more often in residential areas with low-rise building characteristics (LCZ3)."

"This book explores the implications of urbanization and climate change for peri-urban water security in South Asia. Focusing on four locations in the region, namely Kathmandu (Nepal), Khulna (Bangladesh), and Hyderabad and Gurgaon (India), the book describes how climate change and urbanization shape peri-urban water security. The research documents the socio-technical mediation of water insecurity, describing both technological and institutional adaptive responses. In describing adaptation, the focus is both on planned and autonomous adaptation. The book further documents the differential vulnerabilities of peri-urban communities, describing the factors that disadvantage certain men, women, and groups of people as compared to others. With a focus on peri-urban contexts, the book bridges an important gap in current studies of adaptation and vulnerability to the impacts of climate change that tend to focus on purely agrarian or urban contexts. It thus contributes to the emerging body of work on peri-urban issues as well as to the literature on vulnerability and adaptation. The research presented is interdisciplinary in nature, employing a wide range of research tools and methods across the natural and social sciences."

This research paper examines the relationships among ethical workplace climate, organizational identification, leader-member exchange (LMX), team-member exchange, and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) in Indonesian National Police. Data was collected through a survey of 687 respondents who are members of the traffic police in Jakarta The researcher used SmartPLS to test this research model. These findings showed that organizational identification fully mediates the positive relationship between an ethical workplace climate and OCB. Data analysis also showed that LMX moderates the direct effect of the ethical workplace climate on organizational identification. LMX also moderates the direct effect of ethical workplace climate on organizational identification and the indirect effect on OCB via organizational identification. However, the direct effect of the ethical work climate on OCB, and the moderating effect of TMX on the direct effect of organizational identification on OCB, was found not significant. The researcher hopes that these studies could provide practical and theoretical implications for police to develop effective strategies to maintain or even improve their ethical climate, OCB, LMX, and organizational identification.

The rapid growth of the population in Bandar Lampung has led to a change in the land's usage from vegetation to built-up land. In the end, less vegetation will be present, which also results in higher temperatures in urban. This study intends to identify the state of the city's building density, vegetation density, land surface temperature, and the characteristics and spatial patterns of the LCZ in Bandar Lampung. The data was collected using images from Landsat 8 OLI/TIRS and Google Earth 2021. Additionally, a field survey was used to measure the air temperature. The LCZ Generator WUDAPT is used to process LCZ data. The findings revealed that Bandar Lampung was dominated by medium-density buildings in the city's center and medium-density vegetation in its western. The highest LST at residential areas is 35°C, while forest areas have the lowest LST at 15,68°C. There are 14 LCZ classifications, covering seven building types and seven land cover types. The dense tree zone has the highest vegetation density, the open low-rise zone has the highest land surface temperature, and the compact low-rise zone has the highest building density. The spatial pattern of the LCZ is classified based on physical characteristics and city morphology."

ABSTRACT
Urbanization in urban areas is suspected as the cause of climate change. This study wanted to analyze the impact of urbanization on urban climate in Jabodetabek during 1980 2015. The goal is to know the pattern of urbanization, climatic patterns and the impact of urbanization patterns on urban climate. The study was conducted by sites and situational approaches, statistical tests Mann Kendall, Linear Data Regression, Time Data Series Regression and Data Panel Regression. The results show an increase of population density, land builds, and sub urbanization urban sprawl from Jakarta to Bodetabek, and forming conurbations. Climatic patterns show geographical factors, such as altitude and proximity to the sea and mountains, and the dominance of land cover rural urban affect the temperature trend, but the population density does not affect the temperature. The impact of urbanization on urban climate is on the lowlands of Jakarta, before the dominance of urbanization occurs has a high enough temperature. But the existence of urbanization with the increasingly dominance of land awakened increasingly the air temperature. The further south from Jakarta, the temperature change is not very significant, because it is a plateau that initially has lower temperatures. As a recommendation, it is necessary to affirm climate control through the control of land cover changes, such as creating green building, limiting development, revitalizing green belts in Jabodetabek, so that further conurbation can be prevented."
