"Eksplorasi hidrokarbon di bawah batuan vulkanik menjadi sebuah tantangan besar untuk menambah cadangan minyak dan gas bumi di Indonesia. Pada penelitian ini digunakan Metode Audio-Magnetotelluric untuk memetakan perangkap structural reservoir hidrokarbon dikarenakan hasil pemetaan menggunakan gelombang seismik tidak menghasilkan data yang baik pada daerah batuan vulkanik.
Survey geofisika dengan metode audio-magnetotelurik (AMT) digunakan untuk mengetahui kondisi bawah permukaan berdasarkan nilai resistivitas dan nilai fasenya. Data mentah berupa data time series dari hasil pengukuran dengan menggunakan unit peralatan Phoenix Geophysics. Kemudian data diolah lebih lanjut dalam bentuk kurva resistivitas semu dan fase terhadap frekuensi. Dalam pengolahannya dilakukan berbagai filterisasi dan koreksi. Hasil akhirnya berupa penampang 2-dimensi dari line pengukuran AMT. Data hasil pemodelan AMT kemudian diinterpretasikan secara terpadu dengan data geologi.
Hasil menunjukkan hubungan yang cukup baik antara data AMT dengan data geologi. Dari hasil interpretasi dapat diketahui bahwa terdapat zona patahan di daerah pengukuran dan diketahui perlapisan formasi yang membentuk sistem perminyakan. Formasi Cinambo berperan sebagai batuan induk dan juga reservoir hidrokarbon yang menyebabkan adanya migrasi primer di dalam satu formasi, sedangkan Formasi Kaliwungu berperan sebagai batuan penutup seal rock. Jebakan (trap) hidrokarbon berjenis jebakan struktural karena adanya zona patahan di daerah pengukuran.
Exploration of hydrocarbons beneath the volcanic rock becomes a great challenge to increase oil and gas reserves in Indonesia. In this study, Audio-Magnetotelluric method is used for mapping structural trap of hydrocarbon reservoir because the mapping using seismic waves do not produce good data on the area of volcanic rock. Geophysical surveys with audio-magnetotelluric method (AMT) is used to determine the condition of the subsurface based resistivity values and phase values. The raw data in the form of time series data from the measurement results using the equipment units Phoenix Geophysics. Then the data is processed further in the form of apparent resistivity and phase curves toward frequency. In processing carried out various filtering and correction. The end result is two-dimensional cross-section of the measurement line AMT. Data from the model AMT is then interpreted in an integrated manner with geological data. The results showed a good enough relationship between data AMT with geological data. Interpretation of the results can be seen that there is a fault zone in the area of measurement and bedding known formations that form a petroleum system. Cinambo Formations act as the parent rock and hydrocarbon reservoir that led to the migration of the primary in one formation, while Kaliwangu Formations act as a cover seal rock. Hydrocarbon type trap is structural trap because there is fault zone in the area of measurement."
