"Raman imaging has long been used to probe the chemical nature of a sample, providing information on molecular orientation, symmetry and structure with sub-micron spatial resolution. Recent technical developments have pushed the limits of micro-Raman microscopy, enabling the acquisition of Raman spectra with unprecedented speed, and opening a pathway to fast chemical imaging for many applications from material science and semiconductors to pharmaceutical drug development and cell biology, and even art and forensic science. The promise of tip-enhanced raman spectroscopy (TERS) and near-field techniques is pushing the envelope even further by breaking the limit of diffraction and enabling nano-Raman microscopy."

"At the heart of every medical imaging technology is a sophisticated mathematical model of the measurement process and an algorithm to reconstruct an image from the measured data. This book provides a firm foundation in the mathematical tools used to model the measurements and derive the reconstruction algorithms used in most imaging modalities in current use. In the process, it also covers many important analytic concepts, and techniques used in Fourier analysis, integral equations, sampling theory, and noise analysis.
This text uses X-ray computed tomography as a "pedagogical machine" to illustrate important ideas and incorporates extensive discussions of background material making the more advanced mathematical topics accessible to readers with a less formal mathematical education. The mathematical concepts are illuminated with over 200 illustrations and numerous exercises.
New to the second edition are a chapter on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), a revised section on the relationship between the continuum and discrete Fourier transforms, a new section on Grangreat formula, an improved description of the gridding method, and a new section on noise analysis in MRI.

"This book presents the topic of underwater real-time 3-D acoustical imaging covering the theory, algorithms and system design. It summarizes recent advances in wideband and ultra-wideband underwater real-time 3-D acoustical imaging, which will be very useful for developing next-generation systems. Through simulation techniques, readers are able to quickly learn and develop practical underwater real-time 3-D acoustical imaging systems of their own."

"The book, written by expert pediatricians and radiologists, is divided into ten chapters covering neurology, cardiology, neonatology, interventional radiology, the abdomen, the musculoskeletal system, the thorax, the genitourinary system, the fetus, and emergencies. Each chapter comprises ten cases that are presented in a standard way. After discussion of the disorder in question, four representative images are displayed and described with special attention to distinctive features. In addition, informative key references are provided, including a book or book chapter, a web link, and ten recent articles. "

Near-infrared (NIR) fluorescent imaging is a promising imaging method in medicine using a special camera and indocyanine green (ICG) contrast agent. This technique offers safety in use, high resolution, and good sensitivity so that the need for this imaging device will continue to increase. Several studies have reported the use of NIR fluorescent imaging methods in various medical applications using either commercial devices or handmade devices. The aim of this research is to design a near-infrared fluorescent imaging system using mica plastic filters and IP CCTV cameras and subtraction methods to detect fluorescent ICG.
Characterization of mica plastic filters using a spectrometer was carried out to determine the response of the filter and determine the most effective color combination. The prototype design uses a modified CCTV IP camera as the main component in taking images. The subtraction method used can be an alternative in detecting fluorescence produced by ICG by subtracting pixels from 2 images with different conditions. The most effective filter combination in reducing visible light is red-yellow-green-blue, which is at a wavelength of 400 nm – 680 nm with a transmittance of 64,55%. The average absorption coefficient on MKHB plastic mica filters was 9,87 cm-1 at a wavelength of 830 ± 20 nm. The entire prototype was successfully made and has an acceptable resolution and a production cost of 512,000.00 IDR.

"The idea of using the enormous potential of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) not only for diagnostic but also for interventional purposes may seem obvious, but it took major efforts by engineers, physicists, and clinicians to come up with dedicated interventional techniques and scanners, and improvements are still ongoing. Since the inception of interventional MRI in the mid-1990s, the numbers of settings, techniques, and clinical applications have increased dramatically. This state of the art book covers all aspects of interventional MRI. The more technical contributions offer an overview of the fundamental ideas and concepts and present the available instrumentation. The richly illustrated clinical contributions, ranging from MRI-guided biopsies to completely MRI-controlled therapies in various body regions, provide detailed information on established and emerging applications and identify future trends and challenges."

"This book covers all main aspects of guidance information processing technologies for airborne optical imaging seekers, including theoretical models; image pre-processing; automatic target detection, recognition and tracking; and embedded real-time processing systems. The book is divided into three major sections: firstly, a theoretical model for optical-seeker information processing is introduced; then information processing methods are presented, including target modeling, online image pre-processing, typical surface fixed-target detection and recognition, and moving-target detection and recognition; lastly, embedded real-time processing systems are introduced, including new system architectures, image processing ASIC/SoC design, embedded real-time operating systems, system implementation aspects, and system testing and evaluation technologies. The book offers a unique and valuable resource, helping readers understand both fundamental and advanced information processing technologies employed in airborne optical imaging seekers. "
