"Pada penelitian ini akan dirancang bandpass filter (BPF) untuk CPE m-WiMAX menggunakan filter aktif mikrostrip Hairpin. BPF terdiri dari mikrostrip Hairpin dengan rangkaian resistansi negatif. Rangkaian resistansi negatif berfungsi untuk mengkompensasi rugi resistansi parasitik yang ditimbulkan dari komponen induktor kapasitor dan menggunakan komponen aktif bipolar junction transistor (BJT) BFR-NE662M04. Penggunakan filter aktif mikrostrip Hairpin mempunyai keuntungan yaitu ukuran menjadi lebih kecil, rugi-rugi yang diakibatkan adanya resistansi parasitik menjadi lebih rendah sehingga faktor kualitas Q dapat ditingkatkan dan dapat diterapkan pada frekuensi tinggi. Substrat PCB yang digunakan FR4. Hasil simulasi yang diperoleh adalah return loss -40,358dB, insertion loss 5,55dB, noise figure 4,726dB, dan VSWR 1.019.
Hasil yang dirancang difabrikasi dan dilakukan pengukuran diperoleh return loss -9,82dB, insertion loss -10,559dB, dan VSWR 1,843dB. Hasil perancangan dan fabrikasi keduanya dibandingkan. Hasil fabrikasi memiliki kinerja yang lebih rendah dibandingkan hasil simulasi karena adanya komponen transistor yang pada prakteknya dapat menambahkan noise akibat temperature bertambah. Selain itu pada proses pabrikasi PCB, jalur PCB bergeser. Jalur ini yang menyebabkan terjadinya pergeseran frekuensi kerja dan lain-lain.

In this study will be designed bandpass filter (BPF) for m-WiMAX CPE using Hairpin microstrip active filter. Hairpin microstrip BPF composed of the negative resistance circuit. Negative resistance circuit functions to compensate for the loss of resistance caused by parasitic capacitors and inductor component using the active component of bipolar junction transistor (BJT)-BFR NE662M04. Using Hairpin microstrip active filter has the advantage that the size becomes smaller, the losses caused by parasitic resistance becomes lower so that the Q factor can be improved and can be applied at high frequency. Substrate PCB use FR4.
The simulation results obtained return loss is -40.358 dB, insertion loss 5,55 dB, noise figure 4,726 dB, and VSWR 1,019. Results are designed fabricated and performed measurements obtained -9.82 dB return loss, insertion loss -10.559 dB, and VSWR 1.843 dB. The result of both design and fabrication compared. Results fabrication have lower performance than the simulation results because of transistor components which in practice can add noise due to temperature increases. In addition to the manufacturing process of PCB, PCB lane shifts. The line was that caused the frequency shift work and others."

"This report generally discusses the design process of the cyclone filter device which has never been attempted before here in Queensland University of Technology. It is considered as a pioneer project. The approach taken in the design process was to make a filtering device which is suitable to be installed i n industrial area. The device was designed so that it can be used for laboratory purposes so that students can investigate and obtain a better understanding on separation and/or filtration mechanism in cyclone filter. The main interests in this project are the characteristics of the device and the expected performance of the device ilself. Detailed study on these characteristics and expected performance will provide useful guidelines in establishing the design requirements and the design specifications of the device."
