"The book provides theoretical and phenomenological insights on the structure of matter, presenting concepts and features of elementary particle physics and fundamental aspects of nuclear physics.
Starting with the basics (nomenclature, classification, acceleration techniques, detection of elementary particles), the properties of fundamental interactions (electromagnetic, weak and strong) are introduced with a mathematical formalism suited to undergraduate students. Some experimental results (the discovery of neutral currents and of the W± and Z0 bosons. The quark structure observed using deep inelastic scattering experiments) show the necessity of an evolution of the formalism. This motivates a more detailed description of the weak and strong interactions, of the Standard Model of the microcosm with its experimental tests, and of the Higgs mechanism. The open problems in the Standard Model of the microcosm and macrocosm are presented at the end of the book. For example, the CP violation currently measured does not explain the matter -antimatter asymmetry of the observable universe. The neutrino oscillations and the estimated amount of cosmological dark matter seem to require new physics beyond the standard model. A list of other introductory texts, work reviews and some specialized publications is reported in the bibliography."

"G (values) penting untuk mengetahui efek dari radiolisis air dari pendingin reaktor pembangkit listrik tenaga nuklir (PLTN). Karena pengukuran konsentrasi kimia secara langsung pada reaktor sangat sulit maka dilakukan pemodelan dan simulasi untuk memprediksi kimia radiasi diteras reaktor. Produk radiolisis yang terbentuk dari elektron β dapat menurunkan komponen-komponen reaktor dan menyebabkan korosi pada kondisi operasi reaktor. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami pengaruh temperatur pada mekanisme radiolisis air oleh elektron β energi rendah tritium. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa adanya kemiripan tren antara ketergantungan temperatur berbagai G (values) hasil radiolisis air elektron β energi rendah tritium dengan sinar γ60Co. "

"Telah dilakukan perhitungan pergeseran fase hamburan pion-nukleon dengan menerapkan interaksi separabel rank-1 untuk gelombang parsial S, P, dan D. Bentuk separabel membuat persamaan Lippmann-Sehwinger dapat diselesaikan seeara analitik. Parameter interaksi ditentukan melalui fitting dengan data pergeseran fase dari analisa SAID. Keeocokan yang baik dieapai untuk momentum hingga 400 MeV/e, sementara tidak begitu baik untuk hingga 1500 MeV/c.

Phaseshifts of pion-nucleon scattering have been calculated by using separable interaction of rank-l for the partial Waves S, P, and D. With the separable form, the Lipprnann-Schvvinger equation can be solved analytically. lnteraction parameters are determined through fitting with the phaseshift data from SAID analysis. Good fits can be achieved for the 1no1nenta up to 400 MeV/c, While not so good for up to 1500 MeV/c."
