"Abstract:
"What are personality disorders? How should they be conceptualized, and how should they be assessed and diagnosed in clinical practice? For over a century these questions have been at the heart of psychological science. Yet even today, as the recent controversy over proposed changes to the classification of personality disorders in DSM-5 attests, there is hardly consensus on the answers. This groundbreaking text offers a comprehensive and provocative tour of a field that is ripe for integration. Contributors who rank among the world's most prestigious clinical and personality psychologists guide readers through the state of our knowledge of personality disorders, from conceptual and theoretical concerns to the practical problems faced by assessing clinicians. They address the advantages and disadvantages of categorical and dimensional approaches to diagnosing personality pathology used in the standard diagnostic manuals, as well as the "hybrid" model described in Section III of DSM-5. Recent advances in statistical, methodological, and biogenetic research strategies are applied to the study of personality disorders, with a focus on clinical and empirical approaches to assessment and diagnosis. Theorists describe how psychodynamic, attachment, interpersonal, evolutionary, and cognitive processing approaches offer surprisingly similar models of conceptualizing and treating personality disorders"--Publicity materials. Partisipan mengisi kembali kuesioner NEO-FFI.

The present replication experiment of the experiment conducted by Djikic (2011) tested whether music can produce significant changes in the experience of one’s own personality traits under laboratory conditions. Participants were 90 Universitas Indonesia undergraduates (M = 23.8 years). After completing a set of questionnaires including the NEO-FFI, they were divided into 3 groups: the Music-and-Lyrics group listened to a French song while reading the Indonesian translation of lyrics, the Music group listened to a French song while following the text of lyrics in French, and the Lyrics group listened to the Indonesian translation of the lyrics, while following its text. Participants were then readministered the NEO-FFI within another set of questionnaires. The results show that music insignificantly produced increases, and lyrics insignificantly produced decreases, in the short-term self-reported experience of change of one’s personality traits."

This study discuses the change of personality of Barnaby Barney Stinson character who is one of the main characters in the TV series How I Met Your Mother created by Carter Bays and Craig Thomas from a total jerk to a true lover. Within this change, there are many gender stereotypes that can be seen from characters around Barney. However, the existence of humor or comedy which is the genre of this TV series refines the penetration of gender ideologies toward viewers. Besides that, the existence of humor also creates an ambivalence regarding Barney?s attitude. In a same time, Barney Stinson becomes a character that is criticized and also laughed at."

ABSTRACT
Employee’s commitment to change is one of important factors that contributes to organizational change successful implementation. Among those factors that can influence employee’s commitment to change, resilience is one of them (Langvardt, 2007). Current research aims to prove that resiliency is indeed one of the contributing factors and how can it affect commitment to change. The respondent of current research is consisted of employees from two insurance company in Indonesia (one being state owned and the other being private owned). This research used C2C Inventory (Herscovitch & Meyer, 2002) to measure commitment to change and Modified CD-RISC (Frank Dong et al., 2013) to measure resilience. Results found that there is significant effect between resiliency and commitment to change (β = .317, p = .000, p<.01), affective commitment to change (β = .402, p = .000, p<.01), and normative commitment to change (β = .340, p = .000, p<.01), but there is no significant effects found between resiliency and continuance commitment to change (β = .042, p = .537, p<.01). Researcher recommends that future research can be done by comparing state owned insurance company and private owned insurance company, since there are some different culture and values between those company that can affect the results of research."
