"Metode cuci otak merupakan metode pengobatan yang baru diperkenalkan dalam dunia kedokteran. Munculnya metode cuci otak menuai berbagai kontroversi, terlebih saat Surat MKEK IDI terkait penerapan metode cuci otak bocor di kalangan publik. Pihak yang mendukung menyatakan bahwa metode ini merupakan suatu penemuan baru dalam dunia kedokteran. Sedangkan, pihak yang tidak setuju menyatakan bahwa metode ini bukan merupakan penemuan, melainkan hanya sebuah bentuk inovasi dari metode yang telah ada. Ditemukan beberapa pelanggaran oleh dokter dalam menerapkan metode cuci otak dalam praktik kedokterannya. Pelanggaran tersebut berujung pada pemberian sanksi terhadap dokter yang bersangkutan, yaitu berupa pemberhentian sementara yang bersangkutan sebagai anggota IDI, diikuti pernyataan tertulis terkait pencabutan rekomendasi surat izin praktiknya. Tidak sampai di situ, isu ini dibahas hingga pada Muktamar IDI ke-31 di Banda Aceh. Dengan beberapa pertimbangan, pada Muktamar diputuskan bahwa yang bersangkutan diberhentikan secara tetap sebagai anggota IDI. Penelitian ini akan menganalisis terkait penerapan metode cuci otak oleh dokter berdasarkan hukum dan etika. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode yuridis normatif. Data dan sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder yang diperoleh melalui studi literatur serta wawancara dengan narasumber. Data yang diperolah akan dianalisis menggunakan metode analisis data kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, penerapan metode cuci otak oleh dokter dinilai belum mematuhi hukum dan etika yang berlaku.

The brainwashing method is a new treatment method introduced in the medical world. The emergence of the brainwashing method reaped various controversies, especially when IDI's MKEK Letter regarding the application of the brainwashing method was leaked among the public. Those who support it state that this method is a new discovery in the world of medicine. Meanwhile, those who disagree state that this method is not an invention, but only a form of innovation from existing methods. Several violations were found by doctors in applying the brainwashing method in their medical practice. This violation resulted in the imposition of sanctions on the doctor in question, namely in the form of temporary dismissal as a member of the IDI, followed by a written statement regarding the revocation of the recommendation for his practice license. It didn't stop there, this issue was discussed up to the 31st IDI MUKTAMAR in Banda Aceh. With several considerations, at the MUKTAMAR it was decided that the person concerned was permanently dismissed as an IDI member. This study will analyze the application of brainwashing methods by doctors based on law and ethics. The research was conducted using normative juridical methods. The data and data sources used in this study are secondary data obtained through literature studies and interviews with informants. The data obtained will be analyzed using qualitative data analysis methods. Based on the research results, the application of the brainwashing method by doctors is considered not to comply with applicable laws and ethics."
