"Kecemasan merupakan fenomena yang sering dilaporkan dan terjadi pada anak sebelum anak menjalani tindakan operasi di rumah sakit. Kecemasan pada anak berdampak pada psikologis anak sampai pada penolakan tindakan operasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan kecemasan sebelum operasi pada anak usia sekolah dan remaja di kamar operasi urologi RSUPN Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo Jakarta Pusat. Desain cross sectional, dengan sampel 86 responden melalui proporsional stratified random sampling. Analisa menggunakan Chi-Square dan Independen T-test. Hasil menunjukkan tingkat kecemasan sedang dialami oleh 54,7% responden. Kesimpulan bahwa Tingkat kecemasan yang dialami anak usia sekolah dan remaja di kamar operasi urologi cukup tinggi dengan cemas sedang. Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara karakteristik anak pada penelitian ini yaitu usia, pengalaman dioperasi sebelumnya, kehadiran keluarga, waktu tunggu pasien sebelum operasi dengan tingkat kecemasan sebelum operasi. Sedangkan tidak ditemukan hubungan yang signifikan antara jenis kelamin anak dengan kecemasan anak sebelum operasi. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penurunan waktu tunggu pasien sebelum operasi sebagai salah satu intervensi persiapan operasi.

Anxiety is a phenomenon that is often reported and occurs in children before the child underwent surgery in the hospital. Anxiety in children has psychological effects on children to the refusal of surgery. This study aims to analyze the factors associated with preoperative anxiety in school-age children and adolescents in the urology operating

room of RSUPN Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo, Central Jakarta. Cross sectional design, with a sample of 86 respondents with each sample consisting of 43 respondents of school age children and 43 teenage respondents through proportional stratified random sampling. Analysis using Chi square and Independent T-test. The results show that anxiety level is being experienced by 54.7% of respondents. The conclusion that the level of anxiety experienced by school-age children and adolescents in the urology operating room is quite high with moderate anxiety. There is a significant relationship between the characteristics of children in this study, namely age, previous surgery experience, family presence, patient waiting time before surgery with anxiety levels before surgery. While not found a significant relationship between the sex of the child with child anxiety before surgery. This study recommends reduction in patient waiting time as an operative preparation intervention."
