Karya ilmiah akhir ners ini memberikan gambaran asuhan keperawatan keluarga yang telah diberikan kepada keluarga Ibu R dengan masalah keperawatan ketidakefektifan pemeliharaan kesehatan pada diabetes melitus. Intervensi keperawatan unggulan yang dilakukan manajemen diet dengan menerapkan prinsip 3 J dan kepatuhan. Evaluasi yang didapat adalah keluarga menerapkan pola makan sesuai dengan prinsip 3 J dan berdasarkan kebutuhan kalori yang dibutuhkan klien. Saran yang diberikan adalah keluarga memonitor dan mengevaluasi pola makan klien seharihari.
