"Arsitektur merupakan sebuah karya, yang tidak jarang dalam eksistensinya dimaknai bukan hanya dari fungsi yang dimilikinya, namun juga dari keindahan yang dimilikinya. Makna keindahan pada sebuah karya arsitektur dapat dikorelasikan dan seringnya hanya dilihat dari kualitas visual yang dimiliki karya tersebut. Menilik erat dan kentalnya elemen keindahan dalam sebuah karya arsitektur, dimana arsitektur bukan sekedar karya yang dicerap melalui indera pengelihatan, dibutuhkan lebih dari sekedar kualitas visual untuk memaknai keindahan dalam arsitektur. Skripsi ini berisi pembahasan mengenai apa sebenarnya keindahan yang dimaksud dalam arsitektur dan melalui studi kasus berusaha menggambarkan bagaimana keindahan tercipta dalam ruang arsitektur.

Architecture is a work, that in its existence often valued not only by its function but also by its beauty. The meaning of beauty can be correlated with a visual quality and often seen only as a visual quality. Looking back about how important beauty as the fundamental element in architecture, which architecture is not a work that perceived only by visual sensory, I believe that there is more than just a visual quality to define beauty in architecture. This under-graduate thesis will discuss about the essence of beauty in architectural field and through a study will be shown how beauty exist within the architectural space."
