"ABSTRAKTujuan dasar dari PCS adalah menyediakan komuniknsi terintegrasi (contoh : voice, video dan data) antara subscriber yang berpindah-pindah berdasarkan waktu. tempat dan polo mobilitas. Kebutuhan untuk bermacam-macam pelayanan komunikasi tanpa kabel berkembang dengan sangat cepat. Untuk itu sudah merupakan keharusan untuk melihat dan menganalisa jarlngan PCS di masa dating yang dibutuhkan untuk mendulmng sejurnlah besar pelanggan mobile yang tersebar pada daerah geografi yang besar, benua atau bahkan dunia. Penginformasian tarif pada real time/ saat itu juga tanpa delay dapat mengakibatkan kepadatan (congestion) pada kanal signalling yang tentunya tidak diinginkan. Selain itu, kesulitan dalam menyediakan rekatnan tary' real-time pada pelanggan selular adalah karena fakta bahwa pengguna selular dapat roaming dari Home systems (HS) mereka ke sistem yang dikunjungi (Visited System / KY). Ketika seorang pelanggan selular ada di VS, rekaman pentarifan untuk semua aktivitas call disimpan di VS. Pada manajemen call roaming/ call control protocols yang ada pada saat ini, tidak ada interaksi antara VS dan HS pada saat panggilan selesai. Oleh karena itu dibutuhkan solusi untuk mengatasi keadaan ini.Dalam paper ini dibuat simulasi pentarifan untuk personal communication services dengan menggunalcan metode checkpointing- Simulasi ini menghasilkan penyediaan Iaporan status pentarifan dengan cepat dengan temp berusaha menggunakan trafik pensinyalan yang rendah dan pertimbangan roaming.Diharapkan hasil simulasi pentaryan ini dapat dijadikan salah satu referensi untuk persiapan sistem pentarifan PCS di masa mendatang.
