"Tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh FDI Singapura terhadap perdagangan intra-industridi antara Indonesia dan Singapura. Periode penelitian dilakukan mulai pada tahun 1996 sampai dengan tahun 2011 dengan menggunakan data ekspor dan impor enam sub sektor komoditi manufaktur. Estimasi dilakukan dengan menggunakana panel data analysis.Hasil menunjukkan bahwa FDI Singapura memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap perdagangan intra-industri Indonesia-Singapura. Peningkatan FDI Singapura di Indonesia mendorong terjadinya peningkatan perdagangan intraindustri kedua negara.

The aim of this research is to analyze the effect of Singapore FDI on the growth of intra-industri trade between Indonesia and Singapore. Period of the study started in 1996 to 2011 by using data export and import of six commodity sub-sectors of manufacture. The estimation of this research is using panel data analysis.Results indicate that Singapore FDI has a positive and significant impact on intra-industry trade between Indonesia and Singapore. The increasing of FDI Singapore in Indonesia led to an increasing in intra-industry trade between the two countries."

"ABSTRAKPenelitian ini menganalisis dampak kebijakan insentif fiskal terhadap aliran foreign direct investment FDI pada sektor industri di Indonesia. Insentif fiskal yang diteliti dalam penelitian ini antara lain insentif pembebasan bea masuk impor, tax allowance dan tax holiday. Dalam melakukan analisis, peneliti menggunakan dua pendekatan. Pertama, pendekatan kualitatif dilakukan dengan wawancara terhadap narasumber yang menjadi stakeholders kebijakan insentif fiskal pada sektor industri di Indonesia. Kedua, pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisis regresi untuk mengestimasi dampak kebijakan insentif fiskal dan variabel kontrol lainnya terhadap aliran FDI pada sektor industri di Indonesia. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui 1 insentif pembebasan bea masuk impor memiliki dampak yang positif terhadap aliran FDI, 2 insentif tax allowance tidak memiliki dampak terhadap aliran FDI, namun perluasan cakupan bidang industri penerima insentif tax allowance memiliki pengaruh yang positif terhadap aliran FDI, serta 3 insentif tax holiday tidak memiliki dampak bagi peningkatan aliran FDI, dimana insentif ini belum pernah diterbitkan selama periode pengamatan.

ABSTRACTThis study analyzes the impact of fiscal incentive policy on foreign direct investment FDI flow in industrial sector of Indonesia. Fiscal incentives that examined in this study include exemption incentives import duties, tax allowance and tax holiday. In conducting the analysis, the researchers used two approaches. First, a qualitative approach is conducted by interviewing informants who are stakeholders of fiscal incentive policies in the industrial sector of Indonesia. Second, a quantitative approach with regression analysis to estimate the impact of fiscal incentive policies and other control variables on FDI flows in the industrial sector of Indonesia. This study finds 1 the incentive for import duty exemption has a positive effect 2 tax allowance incentives have no impact on FDI flows, but the expansion of the coverage area of the recipient industries of tax allowance incentives has a positive effect on FDI flows, and 3 tax holiday incentives have no impact on increasing FDI flows, where these incentives have not been published during the observation period."

"This book brings together foreign investment and investment arbitration in Asia, the fastest growing economic region in the world. It provides a critical analysis of foreign investment, its benefits and the legal regimes of the jurisdictions studied at a time when investor-state disputes are on the rise and investment arbitration is under growing scrutiny. Governments are under greater pressure to balance the promotion of investment with public policy development and interests and calls for a permanent court for investment arbitration are getting louder. To assess future possibilities, this book takes stock of, brings together and analyses the legal regimes on foreign investment in 12 major Asian jurisdictions, namely China, Hong-Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. These constitute paradigmatic examples of what is happening in the legal framework of Asian foreign investment and the impact that the current system of investment arbitration has in all of them. The analysis shows the existence of changing positions and degrees of openness towards foreign investment in the region, as well as a distinct level of exposure to and involvement in investment arbitration. Predictably, their situation will change in the near future, at least in relation to investment arbitration. Proposals for reform have already been made and international institutions are working on the development of an alternative to the proceedings of investment arbitration as it is currently constructed and understood. Consequently, the last two chapters of this book are devoted to the analysis of these developments that will most probably affect the existing situation in the region."
