"Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk menyajikan bukti secara empiris hubungan antara penerapan kebijakan Anti Pencucian Uang (APU) dan kesenjangan pendapatan. Menggunakan panel data 80 negara dengan periode dari 2012 sampai 2019 dan metode estimasi fixed effect dengan penambahan time-fixed effect, menunjukan bahwa efektifitas penerapan kebijakan APU berkorelasi negatif dengan tingkat kesenjangan pendapatan. Selain itu penggunaan dua ukuran koefisien gini, yaitu gini bruto dan gini neto mengindikasikan bahwa salah satu komponen pendapatan yang terpengaruh oleh kebijakan APU adalah komponen redistribusi pendapatan dan transfer kekayaan.

The main objective of this research is to present empirical evidence on the relationship between the implementation of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policies and income inequality. Using panel data from 80 countries covering the period from 2012 to 2019 and employing the fixed effect estimation method with the addition of time-fixed effects, the study demonstrates that the effectiveness of AML policy implementation is negatively correlated with the level of income inequality. Furthermore, the utilization of two Gini coefficient measures (Gini gross and Gini net) indicates that one of the income components affected by AML policies is the income redistribution and wealth transfer component."
